Phoenix did a great job in the Walk the Line movie but until I saw this clip I didn't realise how good the actors playing supporting bass player and lead guitarist were in taking off the originals.
True about Elvis, Cash and Perkins. But Lewis contracted with Sun almost a year after Elvis had left. Many people seem to forget that little detail... Even the "Walk the Line" movie shows Elvis and Jerry Lee playing on the same show.
watching this in Germany where my grandfather who introduced me to his music first heard him when he was stationed in the Army. Feels pretty cool.
