lol I remember this, anyone who grew up watching early 90s wrestling was lucky, yeah it was pg but quality pg with great wrestlers who had gimmicks which you could distinguish from each other, no wrestler looked the same not like the current pg which is just a camp version of the ruthless aggression era where everyone looks alike and has the same crappy entrance music
I swear to God I was so concerned after this happened. Not only was my beloved Warrior in grave danger, but my equally beloved Undertaker was surely jail bound!!!!
lol every video I watch of warrior, he would be tired and sweaty as hell but his hair was never out of place lol, it was always teased to perfection, and sprayed into a solid
LMAO! Man I miss those days! I'm still laughing at the Warrior's skills on the mic, and wondering whether he was high off of something before he went on. I'm also wondering where the hell were they getting those tools from to open the casket? They were pulling tools from out of no where.
I was in High School when this happened. I recorded every funeral parlor episode and boy was I pleased when Taker put Warrior in the casket. That tape was like gold to me. This segment has some of the best color commentary ever. I love it when Piper says, "that's not enough air to keep an ant alive." and Macho's line of "take him out and beat him up some more" lmao! Classic. Today's WWE is so drab these days.
This is the first time I seen the Undertaker appeared when I was 10 yrs old when he put Ultimate Warrior in a casket and locked him in there. That's when I start watching this show.
nah the warrior beat the hell out of the undertaker, the up coming match, sure undertaker lost cause of DQ, and tryed to put the warrior in a bag, but warrior got out and beat him up again..so the warrior is the on of the few that has won against the undertaker, ( think hogan have done it to, in a re - match )
One thing i notice when watching these old school clips. Is that everybody thinks the same thing. "Those were the days" and it aint ever gonna be like this again.
Fantastic memories :) To all you younger kids out there, you missed one hell of a ride.
Listening to the commentary during this segment I was reduced to tears. I can think of very few other moments/angles in wrestling history that caused me to erupt into such uproarious laughter!! Thank you so much, Vince McMahon! You sick bastard!! Hahahaha!!
I remember when this first aired. All these years later and this one still stands out the most, along with the one where Jake The Snake locks the Undertaker's hand in a casket and the Taker starts dragging it along with him. Ridiculously classic.
lol, knowing what the ultimate warrior has become know, should have grabbed some shovels right there and finished the job, lol. still a great memory of the WWF
@CZam18 Should really have been a match at Summerslam 91, my thinking is Warrior wouldn't accept losing to The Undertaker back then, Taker really dominated this feud, Warrior won the matches because he had too really
yeah this traumatized me as a child lol I was freaked out!Warrior was my hero and seeing this scared me lol,but man seeing it again all these years later WWE had without a doubt the most awesome storylines!
great stuff this was not something that happened often!!!wrestling might have been pg back then too but today's matches doesn't have the build up that today's does we don't have the larger then life persona's of the taker with bearer, ultimate warrior, macho, simply great....
damn i remember this ...i genuinely was spooked after watchin this...lol...taker is a real legend...was way better with Paul Bearer...wrestling was way better back then..."parts unknown" haha
Me and my brother were scared shitless when we saw this that Saturday afternoon. You couldn't tell all the kids growing up in the 80's & 90's that wrestling wasn't real.
I first saw him on TV shortly after he turned face. He was stuffing some jobber (I think Duane Gill) in a body bag after a flying clothesline and tombstone. The audience was going wild, and I didn't get it. As an 8-year-old, I thought, "I'm supposed to cheer for that guy? He gives me the creeps!" Of course, he's long since become my favorite. He's a legend.
I felt the opposite. When he turned face, I said to myself (don’t forget, I was only 8 or so), “Thank God a badass like The Undertaker is on ‘our side’ now. We need someone strong like him to take care of some of the bad guys”.
Same here, man. Absolutely terrified me...I totally believed that Undertaker buried his opponents after he put them in the body bags and this had me terrified for Hulk who was facing him.
Same here. This scared the hell out of me when Taker put Warrior in the coffin. I also cried when Taker tombstoned Hogan one time over a steel chair, I was scared because I thought Hogan was really hurt, I was only 7-8 at the time lol.
Technically, Paul, it's just Mr. Warrior. Warrior ?, though? Or is Warrior his legal last name now? Maybe Ultimate is his first name. What's his middle? Ultimate BlabedyBlabber Warrior?
I remember reading about this in anewsagent when i was a kid in the WWF magazine, eventhough i was just reading i was scared shitless as i thought the lead coffin was airtight and warrior would die. This was when Taker was scary, well @ least if your under the age of ten he was. Great storyline and f*ck vince for screwing over the ultimate warrior in their DVD
I always said when I saw this, The Undertaker shouldv'e debuted on THIS day. SS was a way to start his carrer, but This was just amazing Warrior putting on Undertaker, and in return Some great matches from these 2!
I remember my cousin who was 12 (I'm 45), and he cried from this. Some great memories, WWF live on in our hearts, just like those Creatures of the Night, HulkaManiacs, and the Warriors!
why didnt Vince and Macho man go help them open the coffin. The 3 stooges could have done a better job. i was on edge for the time he was trapped. I almost cried LMAO
Savage was still a heel at this point. Moreso, this took place 2 days after WrestleMania VII- which was when Warrior defeated Savage in a retirement match. It would've made no sense for Savage to help him, especially in the aftermath of such a match.
I remember going to a WWF house show not too long after this happened. Ultimate Warrior wrestled The Undertaker in a "Body Bag Match". I believe the Undertaker ended up getting disqualified when he hit Ultimate Warrior with the urn and then put him inside the body bag. Warrior ended up ripping out of it at the end. It's too bad they didn't really do anything with this feud other then that. Would have been cool to see them work a PPV match one-on-one.
The Undertaker was so great as a heel. I remember going to a house show at the Nutter Center in Dayton, OH in 1991 when I was only 6 years old and he wrestled Bret Hart and Texas Tornado. Bret Hart threw the body bag out of the ring before the match even started so he would not get put in it at the end of the match. It was great! I think Texas Tornado ended up winning in the 2nd match
"let him out and beat him up some more is what i would do OH YEAH" AND 8:20 you see the two guys on the right making it very obvious they are opening it with a crank
Creepy How Paul Bearer said you'll look so natural. This scared the shit outta me when I was a kid. I thaught Undertaker's dayview was erie but this gave me nightmares
The Warrior really put the Undertaker over as a major heel with this angle. I keep saying that this should have been the 1st appearance of the Undertaker rather than Survivor Series 90. How shocking would that have been.
These are those brilliant cerebral angles that f'd with your mind. They will never have such awesome angles like these again. This, the cobra one with Savage, the Flair-Piper brawl, Jake Roberts training the Warrior, Bossman's beating by Nailz, and many others rocked.
This is like pro wrestling of the 90's figuritive and literal burrial of the 80's. And thank God for it. Now lets hope wrestling of the 2010's quickly extinguishes the garbage of this decade.
No I was talking to Megaman2160 he asked if Macho man wrestled the Undertaker. Correction Warrior beat Savage in the career ending match in1991 at Wrestlemania 7.
This should have been the Undertaker's debut. They should have waited rather than debuting him in Survivor Series 90. Could you imagine what kind of a debut it would have been had we the fans seen him for the first time in this angle? It would have been the most memorable debut in wrestling. They didn't do much with him between Survivor Series & this angle anyway.
Props to the Warrior, Bearer & Undertaker for making this seem so realistic.
I remember watching this on TV way back in the day, and as a kid I was actually scared for the Warrior. You won't ever see anything like this anymore in today's "WWE".
These were the days where after something horrific like this & the angle where the cobra bit Randy Savage happened, you's see kids in the front rows crying as the camera focused on them. I miss those days so much. I also remember the Berzerker almost impaling the Undertaker with his sword & the camera shot of the sword through the ring (I got it on tape too).

megaman2160 2 years ago
They never had a one on one match but they wrestled in the 1992 Royal Rumble for about 5 minutes.

not right. Warrior beat savage in a "career ending" match in 1990
sidewaysdanny 2 years ago
the question was for the undertaker and savage!
and the career ending match was at wrestlemania 7 in 1991

Funny I was thinking the same thing!!! Is he dead or what!! lol
tburton0700 2 years ago
Nope, the Warrior's still alive. Had his name legally changed to 'The Warrior' so he can get around the copyright issue.
