...a prohet...nothing else to say...unfortunately this time its turn of a hostile card...:( but the friendly card of spiritual and eternal smiles Eric in the sky...
I Received with a lot of grief and surprise the death from one of my great idols ...I wish you have developed in this planet knowing that left you vary seeds that will germinate and they will remind your exceptional work ...Thanks for your work... that in a next incarnation, You comes with the same talent and find other " Alan Parsons " to create wonderful other project!!!
For those who know how wonderful Erics music is for Steve's voice, we thank him for his total devotion and enthusiasm it took to complete this beautiful piece of work. The whole of the POE album is a measure of Eric's creative spirit and genius mind to use Steve's unique voice to create a masterpiece.
Heartfelt condolences to Steve and Eric's family. We'll miss you. x
just read that Eric Woolfson has died of cancer. What a fitting song to his memory, beautifully sung by Steve. And yes, I am sure that he will be immortal. Condolences x.
Shame about the end, wish someone would post the whole studio version of this. On the Poe cd, it is simply lovely, way different from the Ahoy big orchestra sound. Stripped back to just Steve's amazing voice, you can hear every breathe, the ending is different to the Ahoy version as well. Check out the CD, for other Steve tracks, all great. Beware though, once heard you'll be hooked, my sis nicked mine. Nice to see Steve closeup perform this, thanks for this. B x
I heard Steve sing Immortal live on Sunday at Greenwich theatre. It was beautiful., only accompanied by a piano, simply perfect, it was areal treat for those who maybe don't know the song or steve's work. You should give it a go, you have posted your songs before havn't you? Good luck, break a leg and i will look out for it. B x
This is one of the most beautiful and amazing songs I know, it still takes my breath away every time I listen to it. I feel so blessed for having seen Steve perform this song live in Holland. He's so so so good.
I saw Poe at Abbey Road Studios and first heard the vocal mastery of Steve Balsamo. Have since met Eric who is as lovely as he is talented. If I win the lottery will pay him to produce Poe in the West End! Great Video, thank you.
Balsamo and Laurence Cottle eh! All we want now is Tim Hammil on guitar (and Burgers), Mal Pope on Backing vocals and Richard Cottle on sax.. And lets not forget Martin Ace and Pugwash on Sanatogen. WHAT A BAND
So emotional, beautifully sung...well done Steve, well done Eric! And thank you for posting this! ;-)))

Great thank you, to bad the ending is missing.
His grand final.
@HawkeyeVC.
Eric W has made a CD called More Tales of Mystery & Imagination in the year 2003.
Eric W revisits the life and works of Edgar Allan Poe with his album.
And it is a great CD.
One song i did not like.
