  • is it possible to mount the engine on the front? or even to pipe the exhast to make the force act on the front of the car. I can see that the top speed would be pretty rediculous.

  • cooles Teil Super !!!

  • Top speed!!!! 6 feet! woooo!

  • Dude.. why don't you jump it?? LOL

  • Cool jet but, all the time to set up, the fuel and the amount of money I don't think so! You only can drive for second and it drifts into a spin... Very cool but, I don't think I'll be getting one unless someone give me one so, never.

  • so what you have...is a car...that cant go 10 feet without spinning out? thats so GAY

  • If u look at full size jet cars they have a really long wheelbase

  • Wheelbase is just way to short to get any sort of high speed out of that thing without it spinning.

  • looks like a HUGE waste of money

  • VTEC just cut in, yo!

  • That's pretty sad...

  • покажите экшн блеать!

  • whats causeing it to spin out when you get it to a decent speed is the torque of the turbine, had same issue with my propeller car, give it a few degrees of right thrust and put some down force on it and get some huge knobbied tires to help keep the rear end stable, AWSOME project man

  • Now does it have reverse? haha

  • very nice man ! .

i want to see it with high speed :D

  • not for car

    :/

  • awesome

  • Badest Idea I`ve ever seen..... I gues you tune your Blender with a V8 ? Money waistin !

  • Which turbine did you use sir?

  • @Plenco1986 It was a Sophia J850

  • i think you ve got something wrong because your car keeps on spinning here s mine

  • @kenazzo2000 idiot

  • @kenazzo2000 HERP DERP you're a retard

  • Thats cool.. but how about in a straight line ?

  • that turbine is wasted in a RC car.

  • super will ich auch haben

  • Jeeze I wanted that car,now I have the cash to buy it ,it's gone!

    J.

  • better try a helicopterturbine with axletorque and friction. the problem is that if the outtake's angle is little bit to deep the car is liften up and looses grip. and weehls with driven force have lots more grip.

    but nice try anyway:D

  • that is so awsome

  • Hi

Have you still got the car? Bring it along to the UK RC Car Speed Championships at Long Marston on Sept 11/12. PM me for more details

  • wtf make it go fast !

  • viel Lärm um nichts - schade - das Auto scheint unfahrbar zu sein

  • great engine!

  • very cool but needs a spoiler...

  • LOL holy shit!

  • got to love it!!!!!!!!!!!1

  • how did you get around FOD probs?

  • It didn't even come into my mind!

I've sold it now (at a very nice price) so it's the other bloke's problem :D

  • You should set it up where you could hold the brake and throttle up at the same time for a good launch like the full scale jet trucks. Very nice work and I enjoyed the video. Thanks.

  • how much horse power does that have?

  • It's not measured in horsepower, it's measured in thrust which it has 9kg of.

  • that was sweet!!!

  • aye you going to take another video once its working properly?

  • Is it driven entirely by thrust or also by hooking up the shaft with the wheels?

  • Entirely by thrust.

The reason why it kept spinning is because the tyres were soaked in jet fuel and the ground was wet.

  • How did you get them soaked in Jet fuel?

Could be it. Because the thrust pushes at the rear, it is unstable. But I dont knoe hoe to make it stable. Maybe fins?

  • I used to keep it in a big plastic bag because it was leaking a little on the last run. I didn't realise that the tyres would soak so much fuel up.

New tyres, a warm and dry day, a very large area, rear aerofoil fitted and it'd be a different story. The jet is angled straight so I rekon 20 degrees upward at the rear would give enough thrust to hold it down.

The video is only a test run to make sure it moves and not a speed run.

  • I would always empty the tank before storage. Always.

  • fucking awesome!! what kinda turbine did you use? like the sound :)

  • that is so freaking cool

  • I agree it's really awesome, But very pointless LOL

  • I agree too........ it's totally pointless.

I only did it because I can :-)

  • LOL, maybe if you put it on some kind of track, like a roller coster.. So it can go in a straight line and get a speed test on it, And that seems REALLY loud, you wearing ear plugs? lol

  • Yes it's loud..... REALLY loud, especially when it's winding up from tickover - it gives off a low pitch rumble. Why would I want to wear ear protection when it sounds sooooo good? lol

  • Oh I bet, Even being at an air show gives you the same thrill probably LOL. Ok no ear protection then.. But I figured you would be annoyed at the ringing sound in you ear for the next 2 hours after a run with it LOL

  • really cool

  • -_- Would be a bit hard to accomplish a burnout considering the Jet doesn't drive the wheels.

  • That's what I thought :-)

Looks like there's loads of people who've copied my idea now........

  • Hmmm, you sure? I've seen lots b4 thins one was posted

  • imagine that doing burnouts!

  • Are you in the USA?

  • Nope, UK

  • I am organising a speed competition at the Shakespear Raceway dragstgrip near Stratford upon Avon. There will be an event in September this year and 2 next year linked to events in the USA. Why not enter the jet car. We want to see how fast these things go

  • wut if u put 1 jet on each side so u can controll the trurning on each side w/ the jets and the wheels

  • sounds sick......kind of boring vid......u should get in a car and chases it down the freeway

  • it sounds like a real jet engine because it is a real jet engine

  • thats a sweet idea but a pretty boring video. no offense. most of it was just looking at the car staying in one place and once it was driven it was like 7 secounds then stoped. just my .02 cents. but i think the car sounds and looks awsome!

  • Wouldnt want a runaway!

  • its not the car its the driver and maybe u should try it on a place were there is no dirt!awsome 5/5

  • It's not the driver, it's the tyres which have been impregnated with jet fuel. It doesn't help being on wet ground either.

New tyres and a dry runway should see 100+ mph :-)

  • to me it just look like u need more space

  • DAM man awsome.. Where can i get one?

  • Cool but useless, it cannot be driven.

  • That sounds like a full scale Jet engine. Impressive.

    Even the low rumble.

  • wow, more wt. and 45* angle thrust
