I loved this movie when I was growing up. Because of this movie I vowed to work from home so that I could be closer to my kids :) THANKS For Uploading this!
This was done very well! I am watching this on Netflix now and came to You Tube real quick to find a part of the movie to post on Facebook... They are all pulled now! so sad. I live North of Dallas and now I want to go find this place. LOL
Thanks a lot for posting. Absolutely fantastic. It gives nice push-ups to mind when we compare the things then and now. Anyways nice-cute little Texas town.
Thank you soo much for this. I have wondered for many years if the house was still there and what the town looks like today. My current house was built in 1915 which is right around the time the house in the movie was built judging by the archetecture. This movie sparked my interest in older homes. I would love to know if this house was origionally a telephone office? Anyone know the history of this house? What a fabulous job in recreating 1944 in Gregory (Maxwell) Texas. Seen the movie 100's tm
Sure glad I found this. Makes me kind of sad though. I really liked the backdrop to the movie having grown up in a small town myself. One time I thought I 'd like to visit the place. Time has just moved on there movie or not. Kind of like New Richmond Indiana - this is the home town in Hoosiers. It's all there but nothing marked. Several years ago they still had the fake business signs up on abandoned buildings all faded out from the years gone by.
And there really is a town of Gregory, but this did not take place in that town at all from my understanding...The movie states in the credits filmed in Maxwell....and if you ever visit Maxwell you will see almost perfectly scene for scene...Neat little town with nothing going on
for the record everyone i actually live in gregory tx nd it looks nothing like that
