@98smithg slivers are not good 1v1, clearing them is too easy.. early swords to plowshares, any number of black creature clear cards, wrath of god.. and goblins will usually beat slivers because slivers are sloooooow
@botanicalman well yer any tribal deck is going to have a hard time with lots of removal and rog is generally op any way. A good sliver deck will goldfish on turn 4 so its not that slow.

(wow that sounded stupid) but seriously, if your playing agianst a control deck, you have to be really lucky to do anything. agianst other decks your right, it is really good, but its no game breaker. if you want to see decks that do beatdown moves better than slivers, look at the Llanowar elves. now THOSE are overpowered.
@aguafinaa they have to draft them anyone could have gotten those cards. and the poisonous sliver was a unused card in the sliver pool until this tournament. Usually slivers didnt even do good in these types of matches
@aguafinaa I run two sliver decks and its actually pretty tough, but not because there's no good slivers, but because there's too many good ones. You need to have an answer for all strategies, be fast, and yet have consistency. So, I mean it takes some creativity in pretty much choosing the BEST slivers and removing the AWESOME slivers because they can't quite make the cut.

No, it doesn't. All cards (other then lands) are spells, even creatures. So i can use Cancel (Counter target spell) on a creature as long as you play cancel in the turn that your opponent played said creature.

@98smithg slivers are not good 1v1, clearing them is too easy.. early swords to plowshares, any number of black creature clear cards, wrath of god.. and goblins will usually beat slivers because slivers are sloooooow

@botanicalman well yer any tribal deck is going to have a hard time with lots of removal and rog is generally op any way. A good sliver deck will goldfish on turn 4 so its not that slow.

Slivers are creatures that always have an ability that applies to all slivers in play (or even in your hand / deck for some)
examples are
"All slivers gain +1/+1 (that means ALL slivers, not just yours.)
or
"All slivers have flash, meaning you can play them as instants (this also applies to slivers in your hand ofc. otherwise if would be useless)
Then you have all slivers gain haste, all slivers have poisonous 1, all slivers have shroud, etc.etc.
Really overpowered in 2-headed.

(wow that sounded stupid) but seriously, if your playing agianst a control deck, you have to be really lucky to do anything. agianst other decks your right, it is really good, but its no game breaker. if you want to see decks that do beatdown moves better than slivers, look at the Llanowar elves. now THOSE are overpowered.

@aguafinaa I run two sliver decks and its actually pretty tough, but not because there's no good slivers, but because there's too many good ones. You need to have an answer for all strategies, be fast, and yet have consistency. So, I mean it takes some creativity in pretty much choosing the BEST slivers and removing the AWESOME slivers because they can't quite make the cut.

No, it doesn't. All cards (other then lands) are spells, even creatures. So i can use Cancel (Counter target spell) on a creature as long as you play cancel in the turn that your opponent played said creature.
