Nice man!!!! Loved the melody and solo!! Just a thought: for the chord comping, you might consider playing it a little more sparse, cause I find it gets a bit too cluttered otherwise. For instance, when you listen to a lot of guitar comping, they don't often play on all four beats, they just add in light shots...sort of. Overall awesome still!!!!

I'm not trying to be critical, but with the chords......you don't have to be so straight ahead with them. Same goes for the melody and the bassline. Put the tune on, close your eyes and listen. You gotta Swing it man!

That was pretty nice. Do you have the books "how to play bebop" volume 1 and volume 2 by David Baker? If not you should definitely buy them and give them a good looking over. They will really help build upon and expand some of the good ideas you were coming up with in your solo.

So when i started watching the video... the hair style, and you tapping on your bass the first bar off time... and deciding whether or not to pick another video to watch, i was kind of skeptical. to say the least. This is awesome. Very good overdubbing. Try not to fade it out next time though and play it till its over! Very nice recording.

cool stuff man, jsut a few suggestions though, watch your time when you do that pattern at the begining. If you are playing the chords dont play the root on all four beats, since your bass line is already playing straight quartets. You never hear a guitar player/piano player comping quarter notes while the bass player is walking in just four. Your tuning sounds a lil out on some parts either get the intonation adjusted on your bass or tune it better. Keep up the great work! i play a yam 6 string

Your walking bass line does not work with the harmony almost all of the time. Your solo is okay but you need to learn more about the chord/scale relationship so there is less dissonance. Good start for someone your age and hopefully you can find a competent teacher to help you with the tricky stuff.
