i just got done working on jesses new video for lords of war its gonna be sick

He did......his new band is The Empire Shall Fall and it's metalcore. It's heavy, hardcore, and experimental all rolled together w/ untouchable lyrics. They have 4 demo's available on youtube (I have on my channel if interested). "845" is my favorite, make sure to listen all the way through and follow the lyrics, you'll be blown away. (they speak of the truth on 9/11)

Actually they are post punk / experimental metal, according to the band themselves. I had jumped the gun w/ metalcore and they are deffinetely not rock or jazz. They include some elements of jazz in some of the breakdowns but they are not jazz.

I know the release was the 17th (I had my copy on the 17th). The CD release show was the 20th, unfortunetely I missed that show but will see them in Dec. when they return to Prov. RI.

All in all though, the best band going today!

Not to be ignorant or anything.

Although, when I did mention the 3 different Genre's, I did, in fact, neglect to state that they were elements contained in the interludes. Obviously they're not Jazz, only an idiot would assume that. However, the excessive use of 7th, 9th and of course, 13th chord progressions used in the interludes, along with a swing (triplet feel) drum beat, gives it a jazz-like expression. Rock progressions are also apparent during the songs i.e. We The People.

i read that the guitarists were jazz players and had never been in a rock/metal band or anything, so maybe thats why there is some jazz touches?

shame he had to blow his vocal cords when touring with Killswitch, they lost a major part of their power when he left. Although Howard is good he's too operatic when he sings, it's all too staged whereas leech sang from the heart. alive or just breathing is still without a doubt hands down killswitch's best album. These guys are phat: remind me of early tool crossed with alice in chains

Howard Jones is amazing. He uses vibrato without abusing it, which is a plus and he is monstrous when it comes to growls and low screams along with high screeches. He's one of the best.

thats why he blew out his vocals tho he had too much emotion in his singing and it blew his vocals he said himself he had to much emotion and too little technique and thats not the way you do it. and dnt put howard down too much his voice is monstrous and very unique thats what makes him so good although i hated Killswitches most recent album only liked take me away and start again :/

i love the old Jesse Leach when he was at Killswitch Engage and like also the current singer Howard Jones..The album Alive or Just Breathing .its really awesome..try to listen to all songs in the Album...but my Favorite is My Last Serenade .the whole song is great,the chorus,anything.and when he came to this band the music became different..Blues Rock

But it still have the hardcore material..

Killswitch engage. They have some songs by Jesse, but some by Howard too. Try "My Last serenade." It's ALOT less mellow than this, because Jesse was feeling pain when he wrote it so its like all screams, but the chorus is really good too.
