@Terrariacommentaries Nearly all lances 'couch' (Lower the lance down in front of the horse) when you are moving quickly enough. If you do not have couching or lancing (I forget what it's called) set to automatic, you need to press the 'x' key to lower your lance for couching. Holding and releasing is just thrusting with it, and doesn't even scratch the surface of a lance's potential on a good horse.

Please inform me how the hell the do the couched lance maneuver.

Perhaps I'm blind, but I've yet to figure out how to do it, and I can't find instructions for it anywhere.

@CallingCrowe first of all, you need to have sufficient speed for a couched lance attack. Then, depending on your set up, you will couch the lance automatically, or, if you have the setting on a higher difficulty, you have to press the "x" button to put the lance into a couched position.

@1996deathstar Affirmative, make sure you only make 1 faction hate ya, 2 at max(I only recommend 1), to prevent hassle chasing, I made my homeland my HQ, so it was a safe zone when I entered it(because I made my main hate faction a clash between homeland) Try to co-ordinate hate for a faction that other factions also agree a hate for, that way you safe zone in other faction territories your neutral with, that prevents hate harassment, once you can acquire villages, cash flowing exponinetally.

@1996deathstar get a fair sized army, get to become a vassal. And then figure out a way to make ur own trade routes. :) I buy silver for 100 denars, ride for 30 sec. sell for 250-300. buy salt for 100 denars.. ride 20 sec. and sell for 250-350.. This gives easy a couple of thousands / every other minute. :) - Keep in mind recruited hero's, mind not fancy the living of a tradesman. And u definently wanna hunt down bandits, to keep moral up.

@atillashuna actually pc is far better, but consoles are far cheaper. pc's can be speced up to be far better than consoles, but it does cost less. and controlls are better on console but it really depend s on your taste

@GrapeNomma SinglePlayer horsewargame yes!, Multiplayer on the other hand makes this game very different, because humans play differently then AI, drastically different, you'd mostly be vertical slashing,Certain levels like the arena are polluted archers, you need to be covered 90% of the time if you wish to keep a kd of 1:1 if playing melee, now be it, I only ever used melee so, range might make it different, it's very harsh multiplayer. I'd only recommend the multi if you like single too.

@GrapeNomma Not enough characters, so vertical slashing double handed, horses are death magnets, game has a mob mentality, groups help, pick off weak players, with no money, because it's like CSS relatively better players exponentially do better

Field maps are better, but archers still impact you greatly like mosquitoes/]

Don't get Warband only for multi, I'd rather recommend PVK II, free, if you own HL2 already.

I don't press any button, when you start running the pole is lowered, ramming into someone loses your pole attack, upon a time interval your character shall lower the pole again once running long enough, rinse and repeat. One of the buttons lets you aim better, but I haven't played this game in a while so I forgot which one.
