The moonshining that guys like Sutton have been doing for the last four decades was for personal pleasure with a small local distribution used for personal pleasure as well. If you didn't notice during the filming, the mans heart was breaking because he keeps mentioning "this is the last time," over and over again. I loved how after Mr. Sutton told a story he looked off like he was remembering... The filmmaker did a great job capturing those pauses and giving the viewer a little break to imagine. One of my papaws was a moonshiner and now I'm working on an ethanol project... the more things change, the more they stay the same.
