  • nice-d40lf's-better-than-septa's

  • @newflyer12 uhh hello????, Septa's d40lfs are the same thing as these ones!!!!!!

  • @Nekosys UHH HELLO I MEAN THE PAINT JOB AND THE INTEROIR !!!!!!!!!1

  • @flyerbuses5000 uhh hello lol, what difference does it make? (even though you have a point there).

  • Im so sick of those buses already, over 1000 of these ordered, its too much overboard, CTA might as well order more Nova LFs when their new Nova Plant in New York completes to replace 1995 Flxibles.

  • Yeah, i'm not a fan of these busses. They weren't built for tall people, and it hurts like hell when you knee is driven into the seat in front of you.

  • yeah, and currently they put those damn tight buses on the O'Hare Shuttle buses instead of Nabi Artics. Thats one of reasons I like the Nova LFS as my only favorite low floor cause they look like a space ship and has more room. Hopelly Chicago CTA or maybe Pace will order more of those when their plant gets completed in Plattsburg, NY.

  • CTA has no need for more Novas because Novas aren't high-density buses. If you've ever ridden them on the 3, X3, X4, 6, 60, 62, 77, 79, or 81 during rush hour you know what I mean. The New Flyers are a compromise between a high-density bus (like the old M.A.N. Americanas) and a lower-density bus (like the old 1983 Flyers).

  • Well, to me I ride them everyday on 6, 77, mostly Archer Novas and I dont see anything wrong with them, I kinda seen mostly new flyers 1000s broke down mostly than nova anyways, but I'll tell you that over 1,000 of New Flyers 1000s is way more than enough. So they might as well order more Novas or different type of bus like Van Hool A330 like AC Transit or Orion VII Next Generation or Millenium RTS as my opinion. Im sorry Im not a big fan of New Flyers.

  • ours sound like nabi's, novabus classics, or orion v's [no 6v92ta]

  • Where?

  • rochester, ny

  • How is it goin with the Classics in your city? Are they going to be around for at least 4 more years. They are my favorite canadian buses, I miss the Buffalo's 1992 MCI Classics- I wonder where they at now probably somewhere back in canada for secondhand.

  • they will be gone in 2009

  • hehe "favorite canadian buses"

Well I'm sure you will like to know STO who operates in Gatineau across the river from Ottawa, Canada's capital, still has a bunch of them left. Also they got a big variety of different models of Classics. They got 6V71N, 6V92TA of course and S50 in their Classics.

Though STO does plan on scrapping them in 2012 strangely enough.

  • via in san antonio has those buses as well

  • when i went to dc they had i think either natrual gas or lp gas or hybrid busses

they had the larder dome ontopes

  • we have those on the street now and a hybrid version also. the hybrid looks just like that one with a bigger dome on top and rides with less noise. its a cool bus to ride.

  • chitown need to do more bus riding. i think i may do that myself. i wish we had fishbowls left because i liked the 2 gear changes unlike the 4 speed rebuilt trans.
