  • This theme was sung by Maureen McGovern, whose other "hits" include "The Morning After" from the original "Poseidon Adventure" and the VD PSA jingle from 1970 "VD Is for Everybody". Check out how little Doris Roberts has changed over the years. And of course, one of my favorite game show celebs, the late Debralee Scott (sigh) . . . loved to watch her on game shows wearing no bra under her top (whaddaya want, I was a teenager in the '70s).

  • me fascinaba esta serie y mas el tema de la serie

  • Robert was a gorgeous homosexual way back when but we suspect Robert is also a tinymeat.

  • Love this song and the video you uploaded. Thanks so much for the blast from the past.

  • Robert Hays was HOT!! and what a lot of people DON'T know about him is the fact that he did gay porn a few years before this show and that's actually how he got his start in showbiz.... I know this for a fact, i was his boyfriend when he first moved to CA. He went thru a gay phase back then, but, decided to turn "straight" to make a big name for himself in Hollywood. I've seen him out and about a few times in West Hollywood at gay bars over the years, we still are civil to one another.

  • @kerryincolumbus Thanks for the info on him. I had never heard that. That would have been difficult to lose someone over the career.

  • Yes, Robert *Hays* was hot! ;-)

  • I used to watch show a lot, Enjoyed & I loved a lot. I remember it very well. It great & Fantastic

  • This is my all-time favorite TV theme song! I remember hearing it when I was 4 years old!

  • I miss lavish opening sequences, I downloaded the full theme on iTunes recently and can't stop playing it. It's so darn catchy!

  • Seriously, Robert Hayes is HOT.

  • (1979)

  • Robert Hays is Gorgeous, Dreamy, the Perfect Guy....

  • one of the best theme songs!!!!!!!!!!!

was a great show that was shortl-ived...likely because short-sighted network execs failed to allow it to thrive...

&..............Robert Hayes was a total stud.....

  • this was such an AWESOME show....I loved the concept, it was my ultimate favorite and for that time, there was alot to choose from, and the song, ugh I had everyone at home sick of hearing me sing it...THE BEST SHOW!!!

  • I was a wee youngster when this show aired originally but remember it especially the theme song. It later aired in reruns on weekday mornings on ABC. I loved when the three (at the time) networks aired reruns of current and former sitcoms in the mornings during the week. I always thought Donna Pescow was a hottie.

  • I LOVED LOVED LOVED this show. I was about twenty when this show aired and was filled with wide eyed wonder about falling in love. I have been trying to find information about a show called "DUET" which was very similar to "Angie" . I'm a little fuzzy on whether it came out in the 70's or 80's. It wasn't on for long, maybe one season. I was in love with the theme song. I don't recall any of the actors or if it was a network or cable show. Anyone remember this show?

  • @sparkle453 Duet was in the very early days of Fox when it was a fledgling network; it only ran for 2 and a half season. Matthew Laurance and Mary Page Keller played the main characters, who got married near the end of the series.

  • @ckg927 Remember that spinoff Open House?

  • @ckg927 Duet was the late 80's. Great short-lived show, like Herman's Head and other's on that channel. Parker Lewis Can't Lose, Tracey Ullman Show, etc.

  • I fapped to Donna Pescow when I was a kid. Debralee Scott too.

  • I loved Robert Hays! This show was great.

  • It looks like Debralee is in front of Royce Hall at UCLA and not in Philadelphia! The things you notice when you get older and don't see things through child eyes!

  • I had the BIGGEST crush on Donna Pescow!!!

  • @CheapSushi Yep, she's "Out of This World" *rimshot*

  • anyone know if theres any chance this will come to dvd??

  • I remember NOTHING of this show...

but this theme song jammed itself in my head upon first listen!!!

I'm 400% glad to have found it, and glad you, FOS2007, have put it up. Thanks!

  • Somebody please help!! How long was this show on for? Was it only 2 seasons? I could have sworn there was a season where the opening featured about a ton of cast members, not just those few. Is this my imagination? Wasn't there one with a bunch of cast members?

  • @MrChicago891 Yeah…only 2 seasons. And LorenzoLFM has the clip with the extended cast.

  • Couldn't watch this show without thinking of the backseat rape scene from "Saturday Night Fever". Memories....

  • I think DebraLee Scott died shortly after this show. So sad.

  • @sickphil71 She passed away in 2005.

  • @CarlD2 That recently? Seems longer. Anyway, thanks for the clarification.

  • @sickphil71 I think it's because she hadn't done a lot of acting in recent years. I miss her a lot.

  • O ano deste seriado foi 1979, lembro-me muito bem, sempre assistia.

  • 197*9* :-)

  • man what a time warp

  • Poor Debralee Scott....

  • These people seem to have food consumption issues.

  • @rosario508 Hilarious. You're totally correct. Every friggin scene involves food mishaps. I think the producers had some sort of obsession.

  • I used to love this show. I really like the theme song also. Doris Roberts was also an asset to this show.

  • The 70s had the catchiest tv theme songs.

  • Robert Hayes was a total hunk!
