  • good work here

  • Does anyone have the link to that sound?

  • I remember when I always put in a VCR tape into my t.v., then seeing this come on. I was 2, do when that little pause of silence came on, I thought that monsters were coming to get me (I couldn't sleep without the t.v. on!) The good old days...

  • Taken from Mission Impossible 1996 VHS.

  • This makes me think Grease is on!

  • Your almost up to 1,000,000 views on this video!

  • @MrJacon000 It's getting there.

  • THumbs Up if you grew up thinking the bottom left peak looked like a giant Klingon forehead!!

  • the old vhs intro is better

  • Also on Barry's World (Season 1-3)

  • This is on Grease

  • @TheRascalFlattsfan6 IN 'Grease'.

  • Great fanfare! It kinda sounds like it's TV counterpart.

  • has anyone noticed that those 3 mountains look just like the 3 mountains from the game SSX 3?

  • @wwefrog94 Fake!

  • From the First Nickelodeon movies

  • this used to scare me to death.

  • can you edit it with blender or something else ?

  • when grease was re-released in 1998, they plastered the original blue mountain logo with this one (same for ending credits). The blue mountain logo would return in the grease sing along re-release, although instead of gulf and western its Viacom. Maybe paramount should bring back blue mountain for its 100th anniversary.

  • I loved paramount!

  • ya paramount is way to cool for hanna montana

  • The fanfare heard here isn't the original one, but rather an extended version of the 1987 (or 1988) Paramount Home Video jingle and 1987 Paramount TV jingle.

  • what is the point of this????

  • Why don't they still use this fanfare? Now it's just total silence. It's really creepy.

  • whenever i see this i think of indian in the cupboard the movie not the book

  • "A Viacom Company" :P

  • @thomasfan69 "A Viacom Company" >:(

  • Taken from a made up film called "Nicktoons Red Version" (1996), but with a monochrome threshold effect.

  • quando vejo essa vinheta a unica coisa que me vem a cabeça é o filme cemiterio maldito

  • How do you get permision from paramount to post this.

  • i wonder what movie this is for...

  • @yonschnee16 It came from Grease. Where it says it is from is in the video description.

  • @TheTinman1996 ooooooooh! oops i didnt see that lol

  • @yonschnee16 LOLOMG

  • I heard the fanfare on the 2002 logo used on "Mean Girls".

  • I heard that fanfare on Wayne's World (1992).

  • if you like to see the cinema history watch *BIRTH OF CINEMA* in youtube and enjoy.

  • I have that opening on a DVD copy of Crocodile Dundee II.

  • This logo is better than New 1. This is #1. Tear in my eye ;D.

  • Great : )

  • Grease was re-released theatrically in 1998, hence the logo plaster

  • I have the original Paramount Logo on VHS

  • No logo is complete without a fanfare.

  • @anakinfan8 whats a fanfare?

  • Wiki definition:

"A fanfare is a short piece of music played by trumpets and other brass instruments, frequently accompanied by percussion, usually for ceremonial purposes (usually for royalty or important people). The term is also used symbolically, for instance of occasions for which there is much publicity, even when no music is involved."

  • this is my favorite paramount logo

  • ...And Now. Our Feature Presentation!

  • Good times, eh?

  • AH, GREASE! i watched that when i was five, lol wnted to bring it to school. But the parmount fanfare, i had to mute the volume and run out of the room. Scary, but childhood at the same time.

  • This logo has the same music as the 1987 feature presentation.

  • I Have Grease For DVD

  • The 90's, all my childhood

  • i have pet semetary on dvd and this vid looks and sounds like whats on the dvd.1999 dvd.

  • from pet sematary

  • Can we upload the Paramount 1952 logo in G Major?

  • I just saw this version yesterday on the Grease Blu-ray.

  • i saw this on snow day with wind sounds.

  • I think this is a Reorchastration. Because the Horns leave an echo of some sort.

  • that video is good

  • I love this! =]

    Childhood memories! =]

  • stick my face in em'

  • I think the logo is more complete when it has this jingle

  • IT DID NOT HAVE THESE LOGOS!

GMD 2000 is fake and great mouse detective is owned by disney not paramount!

  • The Great Mouse Detective 2000 Is fake! and

Great mouse detective is not owned by paramount it's owned by disney!

  • @kiltsonfire164 what are you talking about

  • This is on my Grease 2007 DVD

  • hahaha

I know it's widescreen, but the screen is squashed. Maybe it only looks squashed to me.

"dick or prick or even a cock!" hahaa that was good!

  • Well, okay. I understand.

  • lmao what do you mean by that

  • a very brady sequel ..'95

  • This was also used in Vampire in Brooklyn

  • where did this come from?

  • I think it's in Higher Quality (Not too long ago i've seen the 1992 WDHV logo with Blue Background.)

  • A person from Viacom named ViacomCorp said we can keep their crappy logo (paraphrasing). In other words, we only deserve crap.

  • I keep trying to tell people that that user is probably a hoax.

    (JSYK, it's probably a hoax!)

  • Hey, does anyone want to take an adventure to those mountains and then see a beautiful view?

  • It is impossible to find the original version of Grease with 1977 Paramount Pictures at both beginning and ending

  • I wish this was on Grease 2 DVD

  • They've used this on Crocodile Dundee 1 and 2.

  • Taken from "The Godfather" (1972) on DVD.

  • Five months ago, Viacom blammed 100,000 videos. Any Paramount logos involved?

  • Viacom REMOVED 100,000 videos. "Blammed" is not a word.

  • Taken from "Shrek" DVD.

  • "Toy Story" is not Paramount!! IT'S DISNEY AND PIXAR

  • Taken from "The SpongeBob SquarePants Movie!" DVD.

  • Nickelodeon in reality is owned MTV, and MTV owned several diffferent stations under Nickelodeon. Viacom brought MTV in 1995. MTV had Comedy Central, Nickelodeon, VH1, MTV, and a few other stations as well. However, I think Viacom split Nickelodeon and Comedy Central into their own separate brands after the pruchase. Could this purchase had affected the fate of Nick, possibly.

  • so mtv was the source of all things good for nickelodeon, right?

  • MTV bought Nick in 1986, not 1995...

  • I love Grease so much that I bought on DVD 2 times one Fullscreen and the SCE Widescreen DVD

  • Paramount technically is owned by Viacom though.

  • I prefer the Gulf+Western Company Logos better.

  • Gulf+Western also sounds like the name of a railroad:

"I'm riding on the Gulf+Western to Corpus Christi"

  • This fanfare actually dates back to the late 70s, when it was used on the Blue Mountain logo, or at least on the "Coming From" version on trailers. However, the sparkly sounds were added when they brought it back for the 75th Anniversary...

  • "Hey Arnold: The Movie" had the 1987-2002 logo with the Viacom Byline, without music.

  • I like Paramount as A Viacom Company.

  • You're always chatting 'bout that.

  • It won't be long until Viacom has its name on an airport.

Officially said airport would be called the Viacom International Airport.

  • Also, I like the one when it had the golden sides on the star and the reflection is seen in the lake

  • I wish most movies I watch from Paramount Pictures has the fanfare all the time

  • Same as the one from "Mean Girls" and the "Feature Presentation" bumper.

  • sometime the logo silent because there are other production company working. TvB90 say about sponge bob squarepants the movie because they working togheter nickelodeon movie and paramount so paramount should not do fanfare. Sometime due to copyright issue.

  • Nickelodeon Movies is owned by Paramount, so there should be fanfare.

  • no nickelodeon movies owned by viacom not paramount. Paramount is owned by gulf+ westeren company now paramount communications. viacom brought the company it's doesn't mean that paramount owned nickelodeon. Nickelodeon owned by viacom not paramount.

  • I meant that Viacom owns both Paramount and Nickelodeon.

  • Why?

  • I wish "The SpongeBob SquarePants Movie (which has the 2002 logo)" have this fanfare, but no, they just made this logo silent.

  • Byline saying "A Viacom Company" since 1995

  • "Hannah Montana" isn't Paramount, it's Disney!

  • @Gabrielkat Though she is a Disney character, her manipulative nature would make her a sutable CEO of Viacom.

  • "South Park: Bigger, longer and Uncut" should have this, but replaced with the intro to "Mountain Town".

  • I wish "Titanic" had the Paramount logo with its fanfare. but it didn't.

  • You're definitely right. Also, the 20th Century Fox logo animation was not present on North American prints of "Titanic" (1997), maybe due to region-specific distributing rights.

  • While the two studios did collaborate on Titanic, both also have their major sci-fi franchises that are rivals to each other: Paramount has Star Trek (now mostly owned by CBS, but Paramount still has film and DVD rights), and Fox has Star Wars (technically from LucasFilm, but Fox distributed the trilogies)

  • Paramount also made the Indiana Jones films.

  • the first co-production between the two to have both studio logos worldwide wound up being "Reno 911!: Miami"

  • What if they reissued Titanic and it had the Paramount logo with fanfare and 20th Century Fox logo

  • @tscastro114 The reason they left the fanfare out was because of the huge budget and to keep the sad feeling of the movie.

  • @ChowderFlapjackFan94 Well 20th Century Fox kept their fanfare intact when they released the film internationally.

  • @tscastro114 True.
