That is unbelievably awesome! So awesome I yelled out when it happened and had my wife run over to see it. After which she said, "yea" and walked away...sigh
Ive done this with lighter fluid. Works quite well. Most tire shops have a portable propane or maybe ether contraption for blowing tires onto rims in a similar fashion. Pretty cool to see it happen.
for all you that dont undestand. he used heat to allow the tired to slightly expand and not be stuck in the middle. Then they continue to put air into it after doing this.
I'm sorry little lad, I don't mean to rain on your cheerios, but in the states that's called stretched tires for a hella jdm flush, carry on little bambino
@gnamp Because there is still a burning or flame going on inside the tire trying to suck in/burn air, and when it can't take in air, the tire itself will basically get sucked in to itself as you saw. Thats why you always want to be ready with an air compressor if your using ether to seal the bead.
you might think its a hoax because it says the tire was inflated when really, this method doesnt inflate the tire, it just lets it seal on the bead, but the tire itself is still flat and needs to have air put into it
@NAMkiller the spray ignition is used to rapidly heat the air inside the tyre forcing it onto the rim,hot air expands right? as soon as the air cools back down the tyre will deflate and loose its seal.If this method is used to set a tyre on a rim it needs to be inflated further to prevent the above from happening
@mozer30 I know, my point was that if you make sure that you inflate it fully (after the cooling of the air inside), it will stay inflated. It seemed as if the person that I replied to was thinking that the tyre will slowly deflate over time or something of the sort.
mate being of the bead the tyre is dead flat its a tubeless tyre remember but it only holds fora few seconds so u ahve to get air in to it before it pops back off the bead
sure that was wd40? looked like ether

After the tire is inflated is there enough air in the tire to hold the weight of the truck?
papasmurf77941 1 month ago
@papasmurf77941
No, just enough to stick the tyre to the rim.
It'll need pumping up fast or it'll come back off.
Looks damn cool though doesn't it?!

No its not a hoax, but once the fuel inside the tire as cooled it causes a vacuum and deflates after a small amount of time.

Use butane or lighter fluid for best results.

jamiroxxx 1 year ago
@jamiroxxx - so the liquified chemical surrounds the tyre rim and b/c its a little flat some of it seeps in , when lit the liquid turns into a gas

@MelbHusTLA THANKS!!!!
jamiroxxx 1 year ago
@MelbHusTLA no the hot air pumps the tire up
1990mrcampbell 7 months ago
@jamiroxxx the only issue with this, is that it does not last very long.
BWPops1 3 months ago
@BWPops1 It lasts technically forever. Why wouldn't it last long, as long as the seal is complete?

NAMkiller 2 months ago
@mozer30 it does not heat the air inside the tire. the liquid burns and quckly converts into gas which fills the tire.
faziljaved 1 month ago
@jamiroxxx hot air expands pushing the tire out. it basically creates a vacuum..
