I have a kick start only bike and I've been told by a lot of mechanics that kicking it with the stand down can cause it to bend over time.

Tickle it some more and don't use the sidestand when kicking, that's just asking for trouble sooner or later... Nice Caféracer none the less :)

Thats like my '79 kz650 cafe racer/rat bike. IT STARTS ON THE 10TH KICK, IF THAT, WHEN THE ENGINE'S COLD.
