@Cr125rmxr i finally have some good quality headphones and im testing them out and all the older dubstep songs sound so much better. I can hear things i never heard before with my crappy $15 headphones. Im also hearing the newer songs and well they sound better from crappy speakers.

i like this old stuff and new stuff... skream caspa and benga are both amazing artists and i'm even subscribed to ukf dubstep because they got good shit. i only dislike skrillex because he's a typical electronic producer/ dj who's given a lot more credit than he ever deserves and is overhyped. otherwise, modern djs like chase and status and zeds dead are mad tight

@jrmsnkts it's the vibe mate, the drums, it's just the beauty of the song. it's simple but real. it's like describing a natural high. and many just remember it as one of the last big tunes to come out before the whole "filthy" dubstep became a thing.

Dubstep was originally designed to be like drum/bass but at a slower beat so that you could follow it... this song shows so well the original design of the genre

I heard this dropped last week at WHP by Artwork who is a bigger legend than Skrillex will ever be and it is huge - huge sub, huge beat, huge vibe on it. No matter what music type you refer to, there will always be a fanbase of both the old and new. For example, I like Atreyu, and their older stuff was WAY more hardcore. Now, its more generic but still very good. I like both because one, they both sound and two, I like the band in general. Same applies for old and new dubstep, electro, etc. I LOVE Skrillex and I am a HUGE Benga fan. Doesn;t mean I have to take sides.

i'm not a Skrillex fanboy or anything, but i come from the same place the rest of his fans do.. the metal, hardcore, and post-hardcore scenes, just like Sonny's old band From First to Last. We like the beats, we like the samples, we like the drops. Sonny Moore didn't ride the coattails up to stardom using his name, he just made a catchy song, his own sound and tone, and got bigger than the other dubstep artists he's being grouped with.
skrillex is quiet a good producer. I like the old-school dubstep more, too. skrillex gets hyped, because it's music for the masses. just a few people like the old school subby dubstep. I saw Benga yesterday and even he dropped some skrillex, but he found a perfect way to mix it in his set that night. so big ups to both of them! If I had to choose one it would be benga. :P

No matter what music type you refer to, there will always be a fanbase of both the old and new. For example, I like Atreyu, and their older stuff was WAY more hardcore. Now, its more generic but still very good. I like both because one, they both sound and two, I like the band in general. Same applies for old and new dubstep, electro, etc. I LOVE Skrillex and I am a HUGE Benga fan. Doesn;t mean I have to take sides.

i'm not a Skrillex fanboy or anything, but i come from the same place the rest of his fans do.. the metal, hardcore, and post-hardcore scenes, just like Sonny's old band From First to Last. We like the beats, we like the samples, we like the drops. Sonny Moore didn't ride the coattails up to stardom using his name, he just made a catchy song, his own sound and tone, and got bigger than the other dubstep artists he's being grouped with.

skrillex is quiet a good producer. I like the old-school dubstep more, too. skrillex gets hyped, because it's music for the masses. just a few people like the old school subby dubstep. I saw Benga yesterday and even he dropped some skrillex, but he found a perfect way to mix it in his set that night. so big ups to both of them! If I had to choose one it would be benga. :P
