  • This is so true. We had a pup that was very dominant. She was only 8 weeks old but she attacked us a couple times. After firmly putting her on the ground until she relaxed, she would no longer ever attack us or even show dominance to us. She became so good that we could walk up and take a raw bone from her, and she would willingly let go and back away wagging her tail submissively. If anyone else would have had her and backed down from her, she would have gotten worse and worse.

  • Couldn't agree more

  • Put 6 2-year old children in a room with one valuable resource and see what happens. This is how all sentient creatures "work things out." It has nothing to do with alpha/dominance/pack leader mythology. In primitive societies (puppies, children, etc.), the stronger and more forceful will prevail. We humans can actually use our brains instead of force to solve behavior issues. Straw man video, basically.

  • puppys ^_^

  • total alpha male

  • A superb video! If dogowners-to-be understood the hierarchy in a pack of dogs there wouldn´t be so many "attacks" on children.

  • Great video, but my goodness what high drive mals.

  • Brillant, wish all dog owner would see this.........

  • We have just taken on a 2 year old, male, Huskamute (Siberian Husky x Malamute) from a Husky Rescue site. We have 2 children age 3 & 5 and a cat and need some help establishing pack structure - any suggestions?

  • This is really a great video. Thanks. As a dog trainer, I've been watching your posts for personal training. And I'm thankful you post this information. You are a great resource for me.

  • what breed of puppies are these

  • @whiplash2343

    Those are belgian malinois puppies.

  • suave..

  • I wish more people could be like you, and understand that living correctly with a dog means understanding their hierarchy, and being at the top of it. If they did, there wouldn't be so many problem dogs in the world.

That being said, I'm glad you made this series.

  • excellent

  • Wow! Talk about a youtube first! Most people show cute puppies but hardly show the natural aggression in pack mentality situations. Thank you for posting this.

  • Wow, I learned somethings. I'll watch the whole 22 minute vid. Have read or heard of "The Culture Clash" by Jean Donaldson. My vet had several copies and gave me one and I have just started it. I'm thinking you might have similar experiences with dogs. Vennie

  • i love this video, it really taught me some things

i have been checkin for u on youtube for a long time now, and glad you are finally here!

    :D

  • Ed, great video!

  • Very interesting.

  • Fantastic video Ed I hope that it is viewed by a lot of families with kids. People need to understand that these dogs are not little humans they need to know their place in the family. No matter the breed.
