  • this is an amazing song. peace

  • I love this song. Peace.

  • I so love this track, it reminds me of Woodstock and Vietnam and again this track was widely used for Peace talks and Obama politics...Buffaloo Springfield died last weekend at 68 in his home, RIP Buffaloo.....

  • well, im not sure about being a peaceful motherfucker, but the only march ill walk in will be inherently peaceful with no 'anti' connotations. To be angry is never truly productive.

  • i will never march I am very lazy but im for peace but if i have to i will protect my country in war

  • wow! i thought the prophecy of 'hippy' was peace man, (in ref to jamcrane3)

  • I was responding to zengakuren. I am the most peaceful motherfucker on the planet, until some asshole suggests that me and mine should die because he don't like our thoughts and attitudes.

  • jamcrane3...

"The most peaceful mother$^&%er on the planet...?"

You're as humble as you are self-aware.

  • Oh, ouch, your razor sharp pseudo-intellectual insults wound me so deeply in my dimly lit mind of a caveman that I bleed all over my keyboard as I struggle to find the right words to tell you to

EAT SHIT AND DIE NAZI REPUBLICUNT!!!!!!!!

  • It's

    hippIE

  • guitar strap = pilfered from tack room

  • Just heard ol Dewey Martin the drummer died a few weeks ago.

    So long Dewey and thanks

  • No hands, ma! I never thought I'd See Neil doing a lip sync and it's obvious that he's having fun with the whole thing. Even Stills couldn't help breaking up. Great song, great clip. Thanks!

  • I LOVE THE SIXTIES!!!

  • I love this song thank you best american music

  • haha Neil and Dewey are goofing around this whole time. The classic hands-free solo by Neil.

    Great Band.

  • Tropic thunder FTW!

  • Great song....

But all those proto-Hippies, actual Hippies, and all their anti-war, anti-establishment ilk need to finally smoke their last doobster and pass away.

  • I am a Hippie, I am a Redneck, I am anti-war, I am a proud military veteran, and fuck the motherfuckin' establishment, particularly if you represent it or it represents you, and you and your fucking ilk can die just anytime your own goddamn selves.

  • awesome song :P

  • There is a very cool performance of the Springfield Doing this song on The Dean Martin show i think in 1967. They segway into Mr.Soul.

  • Hollywood Palace

  • I don't think that they weren't allowed to be plugged in. Neil and Dewey Martin are hamming it up!

  • Dewey with the drum stick in his mouth! LOL!

  • stop children whats that sound everybody look outside the box.

  • This was the lineup -- with Jim Fielder on bass -- when I experienced my first rock concert in the spring of 1967. The Robbs (who did a terrific version of Eric Andersen's "Violets of Dawn") opened. Then the Springfield played, and they were tight. The Turtles headlined, and they, too, were tight. Drummer Johnny Barbata was an exceptional showman, twirling his sticks above his head as if they were batons. My girlfriend and I had great seats at KRNT Theater, and our tickets cost $4.50 apiece.

  • Bassist is the important Jim Fielder - later with Blood Sweat & Tears.

  • remember 1967

    remember when this was today

    years gone by...

    yet still holds merit,

  • true that dolphin!

  • This song hold true today !!! But unlike in the 70's,

folks nowadays just can't be bothered with what atrocities our goverment is doing. Time to take to

    the streets again ..........

  • bethedolphin, I think because today people volunteerily sign up for the military and aren't drafted is why the mass doesn't protest in the streets more. When peoples kids and brothers were getting drafted (a.k.a. didn't want to go) then people were more vocal against the war.

  • what makes that backround noise?...not the guitar or the drums.

  • one of guitarists is Jim Messina of Loggins and Messina

  • Gutiarists are: Stills, Neil Young and Richie Furay

  • Your thinking of Richie Furay

  • The bass player is Jim Fielder, later of Blood, Sweat and Tears. Bruce Palmer had been busted and deported to Canada. Jim also played bass on "Everydays" on "Buffalo Springfield Again," and Bruce West played bass on "Bluebird."

  • winks

  • IMHO Fender showmans were what the big rock guys played. Twins are great but the showman's kicked ass until Beatleboosters came out!

  • love this group long live oldies and classic rock

  • IMHO ... When the Fender Twin Reverb first came out, Americans (other than Surf Rockers) didn't truly appreciate the versatility of the amp, but the British sure did, as demonstrated in this performance which utilizes the full capabilities of the reverb and tremolo that the old Twin had to offer without getting sucked into a Ventures "surf" sound. Kudos ot Leo Fender and George Gullerton! ~Troy~

  • Buffalo Springfield were an American, not a British band. The singer is Stephen Stills. The lead guitarist is Neil Young, who is actually Canadian.

  • Dewey took 400 micrograms of Owsley before they shot this.

  • he do have that s***-eating ear to ear grin do he not ????? ahhhhh memories.....

  • That doesn't look like Bruce on bass, and Dewey looks bombed!

  • one of the all time great bands of the 60's

  • Buffalo Springfield was so talented...Steven,Neil,Richie...great songwriters, musicians...

  • Funny how times change. Founding member Richie Furay (guitarist on the right in the back) is now a Calvary Chapel pastor in Colorado and supports the Iraq War. Good to see that even people heavily involved in the scene grew out of the silliness on the 60's.

  • beautiful songs so true for vietnam and iraq

  • i love the song wene i was in the war

  • It took 6 years before middle class America really understood what was happening, just like now

  • I like how they told everyone they are lip syncing. That makes it better!

  • I love this song. Ever since I heard it on Forest Gump.

  • i first remember this song when it was part of a skit on the Muppets show back in the 70s.

  • Stop, children..what's that sound?

  • Steve Stills was so young, thin and cute back then. He has so much talent!

  • GREAT SONG!

  • I always loved Buffalo Springfield... and still, after all these years, I really enjoy their sound... and the song fits these days just the same as it did during Vietnam... gee... I wonder why that is. D'oh!

  • Haha, I love how they fool around even when they're performing. Maaan I love this band.

  • yeaaaaaaa
