A German court has ordered former Thin Lizzy guitarist Gary Moore to pay damages after ruling the guitar solo in his 1990 hit "Still Got the Blues" had been plagiarized from a German song written in 1974.
A court in the southern city of Munich said on Wednesday the solo in Moore's song was too similar
JUST FOUND THIS ON THE NET Gary Moore died hours after checking into the five-star Kempinski Hotel in Estepona with an unnamed female friend. Suites at the luxury resort can cost up to £3,500 a night.
Moore's companion, who is in her 30s, was described as 'very distraught, in floods of tears' as the tragedy unfolded.
I am a 67 year old amatuer plucker....never knew of Gary until yesterday exploring other uTube music vids........wow...what soulful expression to his playing and singing. Time for some iTunes shopping.
First saw him in 1976ish with Thin Lizzy .... then a few times when solo during the eighties .. one of the all time best. Great technician, great songs and one of the most underrated voices in the business. A tragic loss and sorely missed. RIP Gary.
yes i meant Joe Bonamassa, was a far better player then the scum we know as GARY MOORE I SAW HIM A FEW TIMES AS A BACKING ACT HE WAS ALWAYS SHIT ALWAYS TELLING SOMEONE IN THE BAND TO FUCK OFF . AND HE WAS ALWAYS RUDE ABOUT OTHER PLAYERS . GARY MOORE THE BIGGEST TWAT IN MUSIC
This song drags me back nearly 50 years; to the time when my heart was smashed by the girl I loved but who married someone else. Listening to this brings it all back again, the teenage hurt and pain and knowing I would never be able to go on. But I did, and I'm so glad that I did and was able to hear this and all of Gary's other music.

I loved this song and his solo's were just awesome and a thing of beauty. I got to see him live in 1987 when he made the Live VHS Concert in Stockholm, Sweden and it was awesome. I just wish they would release that concert to DVD in full 5.1 Dolby Digital Surround Sound and on CD.
IM 55 AND I THOUGHT ID SEEN EVERYONE BUT I NEVER HEARD OF HIM UNTILL HE DIED AND NOW I HAVE EVERYTHING HE EVER DID R. I P GARY ONE OF THE VERY BEST AND HE COULD SING LIKE A BIRD.
YOU FUCKING LIAR gibson492 YOU TOLD A DEVBEDFORD 2 MONTHS AGO ON THE STILL GOT THE BULES VIDEO THAT YOU WISH YOU HAD SEEN GARY MOORE LIVE . NOW YOU SAY YOU HAVE SEEN HIM 5 TIMES YOUR A FUCKING JOKE . AND WHY DO YOU POST UNDER AT LEAST 6 NAMES ?
i just stumbled on your video...thanks for posting..Gary was a talent and it's very sad to think he has passed .....but we all got it coming ,most of us dont know when..live life to it's fullest everyday .......should not be taken for granted..
The most soulful blues song I have ever heard. Going to sing the female version as part of my Project. Gary, this will be my tribute to your fine, fine, soulful sound..The musical gifts that God gave to you leave no doubt.....That guitar cries...Those words and that voice tell the story....You reached deep down into your soul and pulled out the rare, rare feelings and emotions that showed the world how great those gifts really were. You taught me something the day I heard it.
io l'ho visto a Milano il giorno prima. Non lo avevo mai visto dal vivo e l'emozione è stata unica. Altrettanto unica è stata l'amarezza quando ho saputo della sua morte. Ancora oggi non riesco a crederci.
