Hmm... I guess it's not dirty cuz if the coach taught them well that wouldn't happen. My coach told me keep yah eyes on da ball & it's pretty obvious if you don't hear the reffs whistle the play is still in action. but I don't blame the defense they didn't know. But in Highschool you'll get cracked for pullin some dumshit like that. It's clever tho I ain't Goin to lie.

@IStompable EXACTLY!! Try this in high school and you will get your clock cleaned!! Try this against one of my teams and you will get your clock cleaned...if its between the whistle hes fair game...I doubt that kid would have made it out of the tackle box against any Smyrna team!!!!

It's legal but that doesnt mean it's right. I can understand these kind of trick plays if there's no sideline interference, but when the coach tells the dude to come there, there's no way the defense could do anything. Normally i like trick plays cuz they're tricky and clever, but this is just dirty. Not cool

@MadnessOfMarmots But the problem is that there is no chance for somebody on the other team not to be fooled because the coach was telling the player to come. Don't get me wrong i like trick plays, the one where the qb just walks calmly through the defense then takes off, that's good cuz it's tricky but at least a smart dude on the defense could have stayed in front of him and stop him if he does take off. This isnt dirty, it's outright cheap.
everyone has the right to their own opinion tho

@SPARTAbassist During the game the coach tells the players to do alot of things. Its a smart trick thats legal. The coach does not control the game. The referees do

Refs should throw a flag for sideline interference. Terrible disrespectful play to run in any form of the game, but it's even worse getting kids to run it.

So if the defense was as smart as the offense they should've laid out the center and qb when they made the exchange because it was a live play??? How is a little kid supposed to make that split-second decision between a legal hit and a possible penalty if he guesses wrong??? Worst coaching ever. The coach should be ashamed. This play should only be run from Varsity High school level and up where the games actually count. Everything below that should teach you to be a better football player.

Definitely unsportsmanlike. However comical it is, doing it to a bunch of little kids who probably don't have the attention span to be playing in the first place is just cruel.

If the kids on the other team had looked up football plays they would have seen this done hundreds of times and plus if you see someone on a football field running with a ball I don't care if there in a time out the best thing to do is move closer and closer to them
