These types of heroes, without a doubt, deserve far more than the $1,027.00 per month that they are given. But ask any single one of them... they'll all say that all they ask in return is a simple thank you, and that they would do it all over again just to save lives. Now that's what real heroes are made of. (Just don't call them a hero to their face, you might offend them.)

I agree! These kinda men is what this country is missing. My husband is active duty military, with the Navy. He even says sometimes that if he had comrades like this serving with him, he wouldn't hesitate giving his life for them. Unfortunately, you're right, they don't come like this anymore.
