it that person is brought back from the dead and say "duh... i remember nothing, there was nothing, it was like... i was dead or something" then all the crazy theists will make up some stupid excuse like "well, you're not supposed to have memories of the after life".

Well if were constantly advancing our selves to be better why do we need the machines to be advanced? what do the Transhumanist's think our culture will look like? The human ideas like art, science, philosophy, and entertainment plus business like Entrepreneurship, What changes exist on the horizon with these new technologies? I know we will be a lot smarter but boredom is the root of all evil and if most jobs are done and replaced then im afraid a great depression will be in order.
there wrong at this point, population will keep on continuing with the more technologies we all have. THe more energy we can produce the more population would grow. Think of super cities super skyscaraper building like in the jetsons and str wars. THose cities weren't built for millions they are billions.

China is on a decline too with the success of the one child policy. Not sure about Africa, but I believe they may have been decimated by AIDS.
India is still growing as is most of the middle east.

that is mostly true wealthy population ususally have fewer children . one of the few reasons the America population is growing is immigration
