Best fan-trailer I've seen in a long time. I've been revamping the cast for a modern day tv series, if I could make a trailer like this I would probably get millions lol jk. great job!
Of all the classic Sci Fi, Why wouldn't they make a movie TODAY, that gets them back to earth? Landau is still acting (great dude), don't know about Bain and the others. It's would do well in theatres. Just don't re-invent it like they are doing with the new Star Trek movie that I am going to pass on...

He shouldn't have been in season 2. When I first saw him in the show I used to wonder where he came from and why was he getting more screen time than Alan - someone who had been there right from the start.
If so then they couldn't use the moon. Too many people would be yelling about how its impossible.
One of the writers of the series did suggested an asteroid colony though. Of course I would still watch it even if they used the moon again.
It would take nothing short of Nibiru to yank the moon away from Earth. Earth has this "I'll die before I give it up" mentality toward the moon so destroying Earth would not be a good way to start a series.
Great intro!! However I read that the Martin and Barbara were not interested in doing a 3rd season, and the writers were thinking about having Catherine and Tony be the main stars. Still it looks nice, and about time Nick Tate got intro credit!

I like both seasons 1 and 2 themes - at least the ones they used here in the USA. Not sure if they used the same opening intros in all the countries that it was shown.
They should remake this, i would have been a great fan of this show. as for the "1999" part, they could always say its an alternate timeline, where technology advanced as much as it should have.

The other original cast is still around except for Tony Alholt who died from a brain tumour, poor guy i liked him alot and was upset when i learnt of his death. :(
Lots of series have an important cast member last in the titles. Joan Collins was always last in the Dynasty credits. Anthony Stewart Head was always last on Buffy until he decided just to guest star in the final two seasons and then Alyson Hannigan as Willow was promoted to last place. So that's what I did with Barbara Bain. Besides her agent didn't pay me enough to put her second!
A remake would be awesome even with a lot of newbies (nubile young alphans)maybe some offspring of the original...would love to see a half earthling/half psychon child from tony and Maya. Hopefully some of the old cast would be along for the ride.

@ManicMalcolm I was called "Månbas Alpha" (Moonbase Alpha) in Sweden. I really hope for a remake! The Eagles are the coolest spaceships together with the Enterprise!
