A lone warrior standing on a hilltop, his armour torn and dented, sword in his hand. Around him lie the bodies of enemies and allies, a tear rolls from his eyes when cold wind blows up dust and smoke. Behind him slowly a few survivors come up aswell, one resting a hand on the warriors shoulder and whispers "the cost of courage"

He has trained for battle upon battle and has won each one, and as he walks towards his next battle he whispers to himself: "This is it...This is the cost of courage..."

Funny you should describe it as that. It was for a scene much like that, albeit a bit different. This was the music I chose for when an ally of the group sacrificed himself by fighting off one of the sub-bosses of the story as the mines around the character's collapsed. So I chose this to play as he shouted to them to run and escape before turning and heading into the collapsing mines to fight. Glad you had a similiar idea.

I tried not to read post completely to see if my imagination is still working.
To me it sound like "last stand music" something along the lines of
