  • ok call me dense, but i just want to know what the frame rate of this camera is? ive always used film cameras before, and am only just looking in to getting a new hd one and i like the look of this camera, but i cant find what the frame rate is. is it something different when you record digitally with hd? it says up there that this was a pf24 frame rate? any help clearing this up would be great help, thanks.

  • @beohthram

The frame rate was 24 frames per second. 24P, as it's sometimes known, is a frame rate that delivers the visual cadence of film. I chose that frame rate to give the video a more film-like look.

When recording digitally in HD, you have a choice of 1080i (interlaced) or 1080p (progressive). 1080p is smoother looking, since the image is deinterlaced, and you get less of that 'live', TV-type look.

  • jeez that quailty is better than life

  • Your video inspired me to purchase this camera and I'm really glad I bought it - it's fantastic !

  • Good video! Whats the music

  • The song is called 'Twenty-three', by False Haruspex.

  • Thanks

  • is their much difference with youtube-uploaded quality and/or other features between the s100 and regular hf100? Please write me back

  • @MgdCf you can choose 720p to get the closest to reality, but the camera actually shoots in 1080p, so no, it's probably not as good as it gets.

  • Hi and thanks for uploading this excellent and clear video.

Is the memory thing the only difference between the HFS100 and the HFS10? and is the 24p/30p progressive shooting mode feature available on both models or only the HFS100

  • The onboard memory is the only real difference between the HF-S10 and the HF-S100. Both cameras have 24p/30p shooting modes.

  • What program do you use and what are your input and output settings to upload to youtube?

Thanks, very nice vid, do you shot in cinema mode?

  • is it a hardrive or miniDV ?

    or a memory car camcorder

    how much is it ?

  • Memory card... about $1,100

  • I love the clouds around the 2min mark- Killer
