Actually, Ron Paul and the libertarians DO support some government involvement in pollution regulation because pollution takes advantage of other people's rights. The air, the water, the land, etc...are EVERYONE'S...so it isn't fair or "freedom" to just let factories or whatever make that decision for everyone else in the area. Pollution is a violation of everyone else's rights. It's like putting stuff in someone else's yard: NOT covered by libertarianism.

I'm a relatively new Ron Paul supporter and like you glen, I agree with some things, and disagree with others. I think the big difference is that with Ron you know where he stands. You know going into it what you agree with and what you don't. He isn't going to promise a platform of "No Nation Building" and then send troops to spread democracy.

I have to say I was quite impressed with the level of professionalism & respect That Glenn Beck showed to Dr. Paul. I did notice that Mr. Beck seemed fearful & now I understand why. I had no idea there was a death threat video on line. I think whoever did this should remove it. It does not help the message & death threats will not solve anything.
I am grateful for the addressing of the issue that the media is not being fair to Ron Paul. It is difficult for anyone to take you serious when you have so many people claiming your nuts. Ron Paul excels when put on the spot, which is why he would do well to be on the Glenn Beck show. The first debates were evidence of that. There were no exchanges between the candidates during the Iowa, which didn't allow for him to put any of them in their place. It wasn't his best performance...It seemed as though that debate focused more on the "frontrunners" and was non-confrontational by design--oh and those graphs--puhleeez!

Actually, Ron Paul and the libertarians DO support some government involvement in pollution regulation because pollution takes advantage of other people's rights. The air, the water, the land, etc...are EVERYONE'S...so it isn't fair or "freedom" to just let factories or whatever make that decision for everyone else in the area. Pollution is a violation of everyone else's rights. It's like putting stuff in someone else's yard: NOT covered by libertarianism.

I'm a relatively new Ron Paul supporter and like you glen, I agree with some things, and disagree with others. I think the big difference is that with Ron you know where he stands. You know going into it what you agree with and what you don't. He isn't going to promise a platform of "No Nation Building" and then send troops to spread democracy.

I do agree, this was a balanced interview. Glenn Beck did give Ron Paul the respect and courtesy he deserves.
Hopefully this can be used as sort of spring-board, to launch Ron Paul interviews on Larry King Live, 60 Minutes and more air-time on the major news networks.
Interesting....that G. Beck said he wanted to let Ron Paul explain things like abolishing the FBI, but this subject wasn't addressed.

I had no idea there was a death threat video on line. I think whoever did this should remove it. It does not help the message & death threats will not solve anything.

Ron Paul excels when put on the spot, which is why he would do well to be on the Glenn Beck show. The first debates were evidence of that. There were no exchanges between the candidates during the Iowa, which didn't allow for him to put any of them in their place. It wasn't his best performance...It seemed as though that debate focused more on the "frontrunners" and was non-confrontational by design--oh and those graphs--puhleeez!

I disagree, Paul is hella underrated at answering such awkward questions, go have another look at any half way long interview & even if the Q's are unfair (for the record I think they are) he does have to answer them to placate voters who only know that about him same as Romney had to give his religious tolerance speech (the one were he condemned secularists...) Non of them show him any respect. he is 71 years old that should get him some respect he is a medical doctor that should get him some respect he served in the military in a war that should get him some respect not to mention he has been relected 10 time where is the respect?

Beck would attempt to marginalize him but RP would shine if allowed to explain his positions. Beck would probably drown him out before allowing him to articulate his positions. Beck loves to hear himself talk so much that RP might get 5 minutes in an hour program.
