  • How do you connect the case fans to the psu so that they work? I've been trying to fix this since I started building my PC. Any help would be appreciated.

  • @S0L3RFORCE Are they 4 pin molex connectors or 3 pin connectors?

  • @ShredSledsAreRad 4 pin molex.

  • @S0L3RFORCE Connect them into your power supply

  • When was Video Card installed?

  • @TheYaHead in part 3

  • do the cables come with the parts?

  • @420FreeLife yes all the cables you need come with the parts most motherboards come with 2 sata cables so if you want more than 1 hardrive or dvd drive you might wanna pick up some more

  • boobs

  • stupid question why are there 2 connecters on a fan. any help is usefull

  • @789dragoon one is for the power, and one is for the fan controller, so you can control the speed to your liking.

  • @KruzHD thanks

  • this is a terrible explanation, go slower

  • Sorry if this seems like a stupid question, but im just getting into this. Do cables come with the power supply, other componenets or do i have buy the separetely? thanks

  • @Jmiller2224 Don't worry, modular power supplies come with all the cables you need. However if you're missing anything just go to the store and return it. One more thing be careful what size case you get. The cables are standard length but some cases are too big and you might end up short. In that case get an extender or a longer cable separately.

  • do you get the connectors with the powersupply?

  • @mrfinnishguy1 Absolutely.

  • @fastone32 that's cheep too

  • @fastone32 ncix

  • @fastone32 newegg

  • @fastone32 if it will work use ebay

  • @fastone32 yea use newegg

  • @fastone32 ncix or newegg

  • he didn't show how to install the Graphics card :/

  • @iAppletechreviews Installing a graphics card is as hard as installing RAMs.

  • @Jarco45 ''Appletechreviews''

    Apple

    I found your problem.

  • @memyselfdinges Hilarious.

  • @iAppletechreviews If you are looking for the best how to build a PC video, then You Tube the following: build computer part 1 core i7 gigabyte motherboard

  • @hrbear Thanks :)

  • @iAppletechreviews It's in Part 3. Besides, there's nothing to it. Pop it in the PCI-E slot and connect the power connectors.

  • @helloimclaudio Oh ok! Thanks.

  • @iAppletechreviews No Problem, your card should say which power connectors it needs, whether it be a 6 pin, two 6 pins, or an 8 pin, it'll tell ya:)

  • I just don't understand why 21 dislikes o.O

  • @wiissttaa

Perhaps they think consoles are more powerful

  • @wiissttaa The dislikes came from the nerds. They would like the tutorial more detailed :)

  • I have very little experience with building a computer. The only time I did was helping my friend build one. Thanks for the help.

  • awesome gaming computer i wanna get one im gonna have to save though

  • what is the brand and model number i mean

  • @dondon4720 all i can tell is that its a silverstone one

  • @dondon4720 It's a Silverstone Strider Plus 850W. Full modular and 80+ Silver rated.

  • what kind of psu is that

  • @FormulaClutchz Is this a good build?

  • @FormulaClutchz Is it for gaming?

  • @Juiss2 Yes, Hoping I can run games on Max settings while recording.

  • @FormulaClutchz 8gb of ram is pointless for gaming, with only 4 you're good.

It's a good build, but try to get a 570 gtx instead of a 560 ti.

  • @FormulaClutchz Yes I Have The Same Build.I Recommend A Cooler Master Hyper TX3 Coz I Use and is really good.Even the stock Cooler Is Amazing.Get A ASUS MB For A UEFI.Rest Is Good.

  • @legendzarr For what? Gaming

or just normal internet / documentation?

  • Can someone tell me if it is a good built?

    CPU: AMD Athlon II x4 645/3.1 G/2MB/BOX s.AM3

  • @TWTPVZ thats fine, but if you plan on getting BF3 i would upgrade the card to a 6870 :)

  • Is this a good first build? Case: Antec 300 Three Hundred (£49.67) PSU: Corsair CX 600W V2 (£52.72) Motherboard: MSI H67MA-E45 (£76.34) Processor: Intel Core i3-2100 (£90.10) Memory: Mushkin Silverline 4GB (2x2GB) (£25.99) Video Card: EVGA GeForce GTX 560 Ti (£171.95) Hard Drive: Western Digital Caviar Blue 1TB (£44.52) Optical Drive: Sony 24x DVD±RW (£14.39) Operating System: Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit (£71.99) Total: £597.67
  • @GeekofTechs yeah sound prety badass! maybe upgrade to a quad i5 if you can :)

  • Comment removed

  • Do the wires come with the graphics card, motherboard etc.?

  • @GRGO0152 nop, it comes with the PSU itself. But most PSUs aren't modular (all cables are already installed and you cant take either of them) and with non-modular ones there's nothing to worry about, you only have to connect the cables to the rest of the components

  • @BenderYoung Thanks!

  • i electricuted my self with 1250 volts :'(

  • @stellasactions you should be dead.

  • @TobiCollab

depend on how many amps he was electricuted with

  • @dottorrent 1250 volts

  • @TobiCollab

thats electrical pressure, not electrical current

  • @dottorrent ohh lol thnx.

  • What a mess.I don't think I will be able to build my own PC :'(

  • @mmjkfa7 its really easy. type in "newegg how to build a pc" in youtube, thats what i used, its really in depth.

  • Is there a parts list anywhere? Also how much was this?

  • time for part 3. I didn't knoe the video cards can use power too.

  • @play69zoe HAHAHAH!ure a rookie

  • learn about virtual machines

    watch?v=Pu8Dfc_8HGE

  • Everytime you said "in this case," I couldn't tell if you were referring to the computer case or your particular situation. Lol.

  • does the gigabyte g1 guerrilla have a 6 pin connectors for a 3 way sli with gtx 460's ???

and do u need thermal paster for water cooling :) ty

  • @BazM38 Double check if you can use the 460's for 3 way sli. I'm not sure that works.

  • kinda a weird order to build the computer. I've never seen someone do it like this, but hey do what works.

  • zip ties, not twist ties

  • You make so much sense man!! Other people blabber on and on but your quick and simple :D I'm making a pc shopping list now from the parts on your sites :)

  • WOW!! your my Sensei! learning so much from you keep it up!

  • sorry but the whole time listening to your video I was thinking "Hi, this is vince with shamwow." your voice is similar and you sounded like you were trying to sell something. I still think this was a good video, and although I knew most of the stuff i can always use some tips with wire management. next time you make a build tutorial please explain the video card installation. Not for me, but for anyone who doesnt know how to install a video card.

  • Nice video Wiz, very helpful!

  • i need a tutorial on how to purchase the components please

  • @bossco24 with money?

  • @MrSuperpanjames how to choose the parts, "compatibility"

  • @bossco24 I could help you. If you need help send me a message and we can contact each other. You could tell me what your main purpose for the PC is and I am very good at finding the best parts for the best price. It's good to make sure you get good warranties as well. I wouldn't just pick out top of the line most expensive it's whatever suits your needs and in most cases bang for the buck. Even Core i3 are great little chips and even OC very well.

  • Nice video. However, why would you install the MB first and then the CPU and Cooler? Sometimes you'll need access to the otherside of the MB to secure the cooler with the board. So I believe the CPU and the Cooler should be installed first before placing the MB in the chassis.

  • Very helpful videos but you cut out too much stuff. Some people who are installing components together and watching this video, might be confused ("I've installed ram... ok! Power supply... Ok!... Hey!! Wirening?!... What!? How did you install the graphics card! WTF man!!")

  • @9196d it dont matter some have 4 some have two as long as the cpu fan does not have more pins then the mother board its fine

  • my cpu cooler has 3 pins and my motherboard has 4 pins, what do I do?

  • im gonna build a gaming pc its my first am not even that old damn am i nerd im so excited even if teh motherboard fails i will get a diffrent one but damn its excitingin

  • @kris10ish it is isnt it especially when everything turns out great when your finished putting it together

  • im excited for my first build! :)

  • BTW those plastic ties are called zip-ties, probably because they zip when you pull them. Twist ties usually are metal wires with paper/plastic coating that you wrap around then twist the ends together.

  • whats your psu?

  • IS it possible to use a standard case?

or will that affect gaming performance?

  • @91splash

    The case usually wont affect gaming perfermence but you do need to make sure your case;

-Is wide enough for the components you will be putting in.

-Has a sufficient number of fans to keep your PC cool.

-But most of all make sure its a good looking one.

    :)

  • Will ASUS M4A78LT-M motherboard fit in NZXT Vulcan case?

  • what are them little circles on the Motherboard

  • What misc bits and bobs would I need? Not the main parts like CPU's just the little things i,e Static band, Thermal paste.

  • These videos are very helpful and makes building computers look easy gives people confidence to work on there own stuff I am getting ready to upgrade my graphics and PSU am going to get a modular PSU for sure thanks for your help

  • thanks alot mate!

  • does the cables that connect to the power supply come with products? (eg. graphic card)

  • Keep watching. Another good vid continuing explanation of the basics. Next..........

  • Wait, have I been putting in my PSUs wrong this whole time? I have the fan facing the motherboard, thinking it will take out hot air through the back

  • @GamingPrower lol?

  • /watch?v=1L_M7uvn69A Only watch that if your pro with computers

  • They arnt called twist ties... they called zip ties... cause you dont twist them...

  • how do i ground myself without an antistatic wrist strap? :S

  • @tinger95 touch metal parts of your case

  • Does this build sound good?

    AMD Phenom II X6 1090t (3.2 GHz)

    XFX Radeon HD 5770 1 GB GDDR5

8 Gigs of DDR3 RAM 1333 MHz (2x4 gig sticks)

OCZ Modxstream Modular 700w Power Supply

    3 HDD's in RAID 750 gigs total

    AsRock AM3 Motherboard

  • @starwarsfan76 I think that would be very nice, just in my opinion get a bigger (Wattage) PSU -- 850W should be good

  • 8gigs is overkill, this guy underneath me is wrong, 700w is good, even 650w is great.

  • @Metalozedex 8 Gigs isn't overkill. 48 is overkill, yes they actually sell 48 gig RAM sets.

  • @starwarsfan76 And how many motherboards support that? O-o

  • @wasitrealy Put it on a four cpu motherboard silly lol.

  • @starwarsfan76

    sounds great

  • Good video, Well explain , Thanks for sharing.

  • THANK YOU FOR ALL THE HELP,i made my pc faster + the building pc guide it's grate.

    I RECOMMEND EVERYBODY PCWiZKid 100%.

  • Hi PCWizKid: Thanks To you i Have make it work my pc ( Toughpower 1350W )

before i had this Toughpower 1350W, i lost all manual as i was clearing moving house and i think i connected wrong and the (Toughpower 1350W) didnt work .. nothing. it was smelling like burn..

i try to get it repair but .. no chance i had to buy another one ... but thanks so mch to you i have made it as i was building my custom pc. and seriously thanks to you.

  • do pentium 4 has a 6 pin? for that i can buy video card?

  • @listojay by 6 pin do you mean 4 or 8 cpu power connector? if so that depends on the mobo but for overclocking you want the 8 connector.

  • Hi brother needs to chat a, Asian women busizz4me.info

  • Zip ties not "Twist"

  • what do u think of the NZXT Phantom Case?

  • man im nearlly finished i followed everything you said and its going great

  • Modular power supplies are NOT recommended noob. It might be more convenient, but at the expense of reliability!

  • @owx2a fuck you you are a noob

  • @owx2a that's the dumbest thing I've ever heard.

  • Very Helpful...

  • Sweet! =D

  • Great video:) Did the cables that connect to and from the power supply come with it? or did you buy them separately? I am thinking of building my own computer up and wanted advice...

  • @Simonwilliamtaylor cables always come with power supply

  • do i hav to hav anti static stuff on all the time even when theres no power goin thru the hardware because i hav anti static gloves but sometimes i cba to wear them but i've heard bad stories about people breakin their mbs and stuff wat wud u recommend?

  • @gtasamp4life its not about the psu bieng plugged in its that the human body gets static very easily like putting on a shirt or socks, walking without shoes on carpet gets static, you dont need a anti statik band, just touch a unpainted part of your pc case or a doorknob before working on your pc, and while working on it just touch the unpaint part of the case every once in awhile, so that if you have built up static its all transfered to your case and not your parts,

    ps, dont build on carpet,

  • u should put linux

  • hey pcwizkid can you review some more amd and nvidia that would be great and great vids

  • Does it matter where the mother board connectors go? As long as i match up the colors?

  • @YoungMoney835 The connectors on the motherboard normally don't need to go anywhere. Just make sure they are conncted in right place.

  • @Win7Videos So when i buy a motherboard, it will come with a manual on which connection is which?

  • This is why I like HAF 922 ! Great case with lots of room for cables,...

  • An anti static wrist band is NOT necessary if the climate in your area is hot or humid, its only good if its cold or dry. You can touch any un painted part of the case to ground yourself and it will be fine. Ive never heard about components being broken due to static personally.

  • Why did you not put the backplate for the cpu cooler?

  • @amoresai

The cooler didnt come with one.

it uses puch pin like the stock cooler

  • hi wizkid, i have a corsair obsidian 800d which has painted metal and apparently you cant ground yourself on painted metal, for example could i clip a antistatic wrist band onto the case? thanks

  • It's secure to use gloves ?

  • whats the difference between peripheral power connector and 6 pin pci

does it matter which one you use

  • im going to buy some ram but i dont know what ram stick i have.does it matter if you have a different ram stick then the one your going to buy

  • What Power Supply did you use?

  • I have a Gateway FX newest edition

    PS 750

8 gigs of RAM 1333 mHz

    ATI Radeon 5850 1024 mb

    Intel i7 860 @ 2,8 gHz

1,5 TB hard drive 7.200 rpm

    Intel H57 mobo

  • cool. i however i like the phenom II x2, x3, x4 processors.

and you can buy the cheap x2, and unlock it to an x4. but you need the right mobo.

  • @stupidvids0 yes but they disabled the other cores because they are unstable

  • @gregrory89 That is not usually true. About 70% of the time the other cores are fine they just save on cost by disabling the cores of a more expensive cpu.

  • Do i need a Anti static wrist band when building?

  • @cartmen979, it is recommended if you arnt sure how to ground yourself, or if you are working a lot with PC's all day long.

  • Don't you only need it after you have started the computer. I doubt there would be electricity in the computer parts before you have plugged it in. But I could be wrong.

  • actually the piont is so you dont electricute the pc parts, its not for your protection

  • ha ha, "I may die but please don't take the PC."

that is what I thought of when I first read your comment. But thanks for the info.

  • @PCWizKid can you plug all of the hard drive and optical drive connections, into a single Y connector or whatever to plug into the PSU? or do they all need their own? its okay to do with case fans tho right not a lot of power?

  • @PCWizKid what do u mean by grounding? how do u ground?

  • @hellowsaw Touch something metal. This will get the Static out of you, will only need to do this once, make sure your work surface is static free, try a bare table.

  • @kris7848 ah.. i jus asked my mum about it. she used to work in motorola, she said something like you. So you mean touch once everytime you need to touch your computer parts.

  • @PCWizKid How many PCs have u built?

  • @PCWizKid what is a anti static wrist band?

  • @PCWizKid my PC has a inbuilt grounding point;)

  • @PCWizKid COULD i ask how much would it cost to build a high end gaming pc that would run crysis max

  • @kris10ish It might cost you maybe $800-$1200, depending on how many Frames per Second you want.

  • Comment removed

  • @kris10ish Hey, I am building a comp for 1200 roughly, and if you would like me to I can tell you how crysis runs on my system? I can also send you my parts list if successful... if you want

  • @cartmen979 wow!! the hardest part seems to be connecting the right cables!! but that still is easy i guess..

  • @cartmen979 just ground yourself by touching bare metal for a good 20 seconds, make sure its bare metal, no paint

  • @cartmen979 what is a anti static wrist band?

  • @cartmen979

U don't really need it. Just make sure u plug in the PSU cable. So the PSU is grounded aswell as the case it's in. Also u can touch the ground in a wall outlet. Then your grounded. Unless your walking on wool socks, that is enough.

  • @cartmen979 You could also just wear gloves made of plastic , or another anti static material :)

  • thanks pcwizkid... i'm looking forward for videos like this... gudluck!
