  • Dude the first time I heard this song or Jamiroquai was on SNL and Sylvester Stalone was the host and introduced Jamiroquai I remember it so vividly he's like "Ladies and Gentlemen, Jamiroquai" in is Rocky Sylvester Stallone type voice it was hilarious and unforgetable...After that It was all set...Great song...

  • he was way under rated, top notch 4 sure.....i hope he's still performing......

  • the very first fuckin justin timberlake !!!!!!!!

  • Skeletical girls. Depresssing.

  • i would love to go to one of their concerts

  • so amazing i was listening this when i barley could speak english...was lik freaking 5 that time

  • <3

  • @subjoy1

I don't know but the sound is suspiciously so.

  • I'd reason to think they must have been influenced by the disco period of 1975-79 while recording this song.

  • God, fifteen years ago? Fuckin hell

  • hmmm this reminds me of a certain king of pop....

  • To some degree, I can see the comparison between Maroon 5 and Jamiroquai.

  • LOVEEEEEE this song!

  • I WAS IN ELIZABETH TOWN NC, WHEN I FIRST SAW THE VIDEO ...IN THE 90'S I WAS SO HIGH OFF OF SOME WEED AND MY MIND WAS SO WRAPPED UP ON THIS LITTLE THIN WHITE BOY DANCING AND SINGING,WALKING THROUGH A CLUB DOING HIS THING AND WAS SEXY WITH IT ...I WAS STUCK ON HIM EVER SINCE HUGE FAN ..THE MAN IS A GENIUS...

  • This is a very nice, chilled-out tune.

  • MAN, I wish I had been in the crazydiscoloungespacefunk room with Jamiroquai. This was Jamiroquai's best incarnation in that this was the album that exposed me to them (and a lot of other people). No two of their albums sound alike, but I believe that TWM was the quintessence of their sound. It's the sound that most people would associate with them being that this was around the time that they broke into the U.S. market and pretty much were on top of the world (for a minute).

  • This is so high school.. love

  • I was 18 when I Got the LP from Iris Muhammand from Dogs of War shipped from Chicago to Iowa. It was way advanced for the sudocity of Des Moines and other towns but it didnt stop me. I knew it was art without knowingPeace

    brett

  • I was listening to a lot of rock music, this song totally threw me into the dance music and understand dance music. That great rythem with amazing sing along vocal.

  • KUDO Peace

    brett

  • Jay Kay always rolls in the tightest wheels!

  • one the greatest artist of this time.. brings me back...lol...whoa

  • que loco

  • This was on rotation on BET back in late 1997.

  • This is the moment where Jay had got his voice at the optimum. Perfect tune, mature voice but there is not yet so much smoke!!

  • Gente esse cara é muito bom!!!Amo!

  • Jamiroquai....the most soulful caucasian brother since Bobby Caldwell

  • them were the days

  • I LOVE THis Group...

  • his hat is fucking pimp

  • Hey guys! Let's drive our Ferraris and Lambo's to this awesome place where all these fine-ass bitches are hanging out! Whaddya say? I mean, there's nothing else to do tonight..."

  • This reminds me of someone I spent a few years with, was our tune.we would play it over and over in the car (his blue Vauxhall Calibra) full blast and hit Mcdonalds drive thru in the early hours. Good times!

  • FUNKY !

  • I wish I was there.

  • if someone tell me to describe whats peace and chillout i will say: jamiroquai

  • i want to see jamiroquai live!!! the coolest band ... coolest hats .. coolest dance ... funk styled art at its best!!

  • I still cannot understand how can there be people who don't like this MASTER of funky :))

  • this song is more than alright, most definately, we shut the club down with this song, great times!!

  • Nice electric guitar!

  • TODAS LAS CANCIONES DE JAMIROQUAI SON MUY BUENAS, ME GUSTA TRAVELLING WITHOUT MOVIN`ALRIGHT STARCHILD DON´TGIVE HATE A CHANCE ETC ES EL MEJOR FUNKY!!!!COME TO SOUTHAMERIKA PLEASE!!!

  • i love this tune because of its 70's disco flavor!...

  • I can understand why this would be a fave of some. The song has that funky-poostmodern-classic feel that appears to be a standard with Jamiroquai. Also, There's sexy girls in this vid >< and elevators, too - also, walls, and lighting, and rotating couches. Yeah, it's a video, anyways.....

  • my favourite jamiroquai song af all time...soul/disco/funk at its best..so miss those days and im freaking out that it was 14yrs ago lol lol....shit :D

  • FFS... Jay kay... Jamiroquai... London boy turned good... great singer??

Shit hot beats that will never go out of fashion???

Teaching the world the real music??

Flash cars, money, birds... great singer??

    -

Buttt.. is he REALLY HAPP... fuck that! Course he's happy..I have gone wrong somewhere in my approach to life! Given..I have NONE of the above..but I'm as happ... nah..that one fell flat on its cock too!-

OK, Jay Kay, has everything pretty much sorted, has everything... wanna swap, son? lol

  • This song needs to be danced to regularly! The overly thin, teenage girls draped on furniture or propped up here and there throughout the video kinda freak me out, however I adore the shots of the singer in crowd! It definitely makes me want to do my thing on a crowded dance floor!

  • Those Cars, OMG Jay u go go go. cya on Top Gear love xo

  • that sound, and lyrics, incredible, my body feels and I am happy to hear you

  • nice track J!

  • i forgot how good this tune was! i love J K Guinness hat ;)

  • man. shame he didn't sustain a presence in the US. Because the indie dance/electro scene is all over this sound now.

  • This is not a song... It is the soundtrack to a beautiful dream!!

  • 1996 best year for me

  • ohh the memories i really miss these days, theres been nothing like Jamiroquai, theres no words to decribe them, they will forever hold a special place in my heart, my best friend passed away when we were 17 due to cancer, but we got to see Jamiroquai live together before she passed :)

  • I feel sorry for those 11 dislikes, Jamiroquai may be the best band ever, seriously no one compares to them at what they did.

  • inimitável...únicos e muito, mas muito gostoso de ouvir...

  • F40 - Muira - Diablo

    * boner *

... talkin music now, just a pure piece of 90's coolness =D

  • The song is cool. Why put in the glass figurine-looking girls? The only ones that can dance are Jay and the real crowd!

  • Love dis!

  • Sick

  • I love how this video screams cool, classy, and stylish.

  • Thank you dude yah fuck it

  • @yiddena

Are you a friend of Bill W's?

  • i like this song

  • Jay's hat was the shizz in the '90s...think i still got mine

  • everything about jamiroquai fucking rules... even the album name -- "travelling without moving" ---- AWESOME !!!

  • my shit....i m iss his music ;O(

  • The song & the video reminds me of the post-rave period of the early/mid 90's. Good times.

The E's & spliffs slowly made way for the coke & booze until eventually, it just wasn't fun anymore, no matter how hard I tried, I just could NOT stop drinkig & sniffing

    I wasn't fun anymore. Everyone around me had had enough of me;

Everything in my life was gradually falling apart as I spiraled into an aimless existance.

    I'm now 17 months sober & clean

    I've got a sponsor & a programme

    Good times

  • @kevintheshedend1976 good on you, mate :)

  • @stroketheboat

Thanks friend. You're typical of the 'jamiroquai generation' . . . . .easy, kind spirited and cool

  • @kevintheshedend1976 im so happy for you! you are made of strong stuff :)

  • @kevintheshedend1976 I remember those e and spliff days, disco house was the best to party with.

  • @kevintheshedend1976 im glad you got through that ,

btw I HATE THE POST-RAVE ERA

  • @kevintheshedend1976 well bro its a year later and i hope your still doing good. its a very tough road that no1 else can understand unless you have gone through it yourself which i have. keep working the program that best works for you and whatever keeps you clean and sober is a good enough reason. best of luck from a friend in philly.

  • @tjjlm444 Thank you kind person. Yeah, I'm still living free & love it. I never want to go back to getting off my face, and won't as long as remember the fact that for an alcoholic-addict like me, there's no such thing as a quiet drink, or a cheeky little line, or just chillin wiva spliff. All of it will eventually lead to guilt, remorse, shame & FEAR!.

I get bad days, sure, but nothing as bad as some of those hangovers.

Truth & Love. Aspire to those two things my friend. You're amazing.

  • @kevintheshedend1976 thats great to hear.i wish you nothing but the best of luck and always remember when your having those bad days that there is always someone else worse off than you are and remember what it was like when you were at your complete bottom and worst.know how far you have come from that and if you can pick yourself up from that you can accomplish anything.also to i gotta admit im cracking up the way you descibe it saying a cheeky little line lol.tc bro and keep it the good work

  • @kevintheshedend1976

Kevin, I m pulling for you. Been where you are. Feb. 12, 1976, 2 months before my 35th birthday, I hung up my cleats. I had been drinking since age 14, 20 years. In AA, I tiptoed through sobriety for the first 5 years, scared as hell, but I took it one day at a time, and kept on not drinking. I had decided I did not want my kids growing up having a drunk for a dad, and I decided I wanted NOT TO drink, more than I wanted TO drink. I made it! Age 70 in 1 mo. God Bless.

  • would you believe I had this album for a few weeks and did'nt notice this song until it was played in a club while i was with friends having drinks . I even asked someone who is this ???

  • 2:50 best part!!

  • Fuck YOU !

  • i love tobey's work on that song :)

  • Alright was the first tune of Jamiroquai's that I heard, got the album and must admit Virtual Insanity had a groundbreaking video, but this was the jam...

  • ths guys mean as did it again!!! fukn yeh

  • This was the Cutt on the Cd.

  • everyone was always about "virtual insanity"...but THIS was my joint right here! i preferred this song and video to "Virtual Insanity" all the time. i totally miss 1996/1997. best times of my life so far

  • hmmm. would have to agree with you there. This album has too many tracks to mention. It has it all. ahhh 1997... those were the days.

  • @MercuryX virtual insanity was over played. This joint was and still is the bomb not to mention the video.

  • @MercuryX This song was so under rated. Virtual Insanity was lame compared to this. This track is fire even to today. Play this at a club today and people will still dance to it.

  • @MercuryX I am a Jam fan from pretty much day one. The only song that I still can't stand, out of the entire catalogue, is Virtual Insanity.

  • @MercuryX Weren't the late 90s brilliant! Fun before America became so dang serious.

  • Another beautifully crafted track by jamiro, I mean you just dont get this nowdays, all we got is fucking lady gaga and people like florida and akon that sound the same on nearly every track .......,sniff..... miss the 90s.

  • you read my mind!

  • sure, I love the tune, but still this is the original, Jamiro didn't craft this out of thin air ;-)

Idris Muhammad - Could Heaven Ever Be Like This

    check it out on youtube!

  • I love jamiroquai even there's a strong influence of Roy Ayres . check out early Roy Ayres .

  • You fuck wit Roy Ayers? Not alot of people up here talk about that artist. Think I'm ah request as a friend on my page. LOL

  • well jamiroquai's new album is gonna be like this i guarantee!

  • is he making a new album???

  • Agreed... I miss the 90's too. :( Sure Jamiro went for the disco infused throwback sound, but didn't RIP OFF earlier artists like Flo Rida did in Right Round by butchering Dead or Alive's original tune. Oh well!

  • Man, don't even speak on today's commercial rap artists. Everybody is a sell out.

  • The new album comes out in mid 2010. Derrick said that the band has already written 40 tracks.

  • Now you know why the UK rules the music scene.

  • 'Yeah, Yeah! Alright!'

    Funky Sh*t, luv it!

  • all there songs are Amazing! :-) hope there releasing mre songs soon!

  • Fuckin Groovy! :-) How could you not dance when his music is played

  • cool gruv

  • Funkin cool

  • Excelente!

  • This song is just beautiful !! Luv it!!!

  • "Alright" is a prime example of what this band is all about, and this album (Travelling Without Moving) is what made me such a huge fan. Yeah, the song is funky and makes you move, but it's more than club music to me. It has soul. The idiosyncratic spaciness, warmth, and swagger of everything from the music to Jay's vocals/movements just make the song/video glow. There's no other band that came out in the 90s who is even comparable to Jamiroquai. Even their logo kicks everyone's ass.

  • Agree with everything you say. The prob with Jay Kay at this time though was that he was heading for a brick wall - too much recreational (you know what I mean). In one of his interviews he tells exactly how bad it was getting. Their best album but it almost came at high cost.

  • this song is a diamond. just beautiful....

  • This song makes me think of getting ready to go out with some good friends to enjoy a delightful evening!

  • A full steez of style here.

  • Space funk !!!

  • great music,keep itr happinin man !!!

  • very beautiful song

  • google "new world order"

    KEEP THOSE EYES OPEN!

  • i have a dream..... I HAVE JAMIROQUAI

  • best ever videoclip

  • great bassline

  • Yeah hey !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Alright right now !!!

Well spend the night together wake up and live forever

    Yeah hey !!!!!!

    Alright right now!!

Well spend the night together wake up and live forever..

Jamiroquai, this band has maybe to stop giving us of magnificent song but their lyrics owed in our heart.

    Jamiroquai Best band EveR

    Jak-Kay best singer =')

    sorry for my poor english...

  • The guy is timeless. Nothing ever sounds dated. Cool as fuck.

  • This song is amazing! Note that it was made 13 years ago!!

  • i think this song is awesome!!! they should mak a new album!!! i would so buy it!!

  • They made songs since Dynamite, but they have no productor to release it or something : O

  • their contract with Sony ran out a few years back, but they're working on a new album which they plan to release by the end of this year... but it's unknown whether they have signed to a new record label yet. Maybe they'll only search a label after they've finished the album.

  • i k im b m

  • Great song!

  • LE MEILLEUR

  • hace tiempo q no escuchaba esta cancion....y me encanta como cuando la escuche por primera vez...!!!! muy buena!

  • Funny thing is, it wasn't fashionable even when it was released, so it doesn't go ut of fashion. And talent lasts ages.

  • Agree 100%. Released at a time in the UK when EVERYONE was jumping on the House / Techno bandwagon and had closed there is to everything else, this one went against the grain from the start. Despite my preferences (which are House / Techno) I always found time for Jamiroquai, Mother Earth, and other bands that played music for the heart as well as the feet.

  • love this song

  • wow espero y ste nuevo año salga mas d ellos :)

  • i love this band

  • i miss this kind of sound .....
