@Albamania firstly... that title is more likely to be clicked and it is dangerously close. It was an emergency and they didn't have enough time to move the crowd back.
@Lewy1997 I have worked on and around Sea Kings for 9 years, that is not dangerously close by any means. Albamania is 100% correct, they would not have even engaged rotors if you were too close regardless of the circumstance. There is no sense in being dangerous and potentially causing an injury or fatality, as this would prevent them from completeing the assigned task.
@Lewy1997 i get what your saying, for a civilian that is pretty damn close, and it could be a danger to them, being they dont know the equipment and such, they have been trained for anything, so yeah, it is pretty close if you havent ever worked with one before.

I presently work at CFB Shearwater, Canada, on the sea kings.
This is not necessarily dangerously close the only real danger would be any sort of debris that could get kicked up and flown at bystanders...
I would however want to be wearing ear protection when that close to the bird wth no.1 and no.2 engines running

DANGEROUSLY CLOSE? Why change your title? If you were too close or in any danger the crew would not have lifted off! Nice video though.

@sobekflakmonkey yeah, I think its obvious that the title is a little too extreme though so I've toned it down a little.
