This wasn't their best album, however, this song along with Delilah and Days Of Our Lives are enough to warrant love from fans and non-fans alike (This is more new wave than rock. Probably why the album got poor reviews because people expected more rock :P)
Queen certainly takes its rightful place in rock 'n roll royalty. And it certainly had many, many, many a hit and great song, but to love all their stuff you certainly had to be a fan. For non-fans songs like this there just isn't much here.
How dare you all who pressed the dislike button. Freddie is te most original and incredible man that lived! I know that and im 14yrs old!!!! I will find the people that pressed dislike and make you like it, dont mess with Queen unless you would like to get some of me ''THE BIGGEST !$YR OLD QUEEN FAN'' WHAT!!!!???
Does anyone else think that Freddie Mercury looks like Johnny Depp here? Freddie's also got a Vincent Price kind of thing goin on! ...I think if they ever make a movie about freddie Mercury, Johnny Depp should play him...maybe.
this is my ringtone...grew up with guys saw them in concert in '77 and '78 just brilliant Freddie Mercury was a gem the best frontman ever..he had a amazing pure voice. Brian May guitar master Roger Taylor on drums great and John Deacon probably one of the most underrated bass players..he is really good all 4 brilliant song writers so cool that 40 years after the band came together the music they made is still going on...how sad that 20 of those years have been without Freddie...he is missed
@helga284 that should be freddie's title, but sadly, bon scott (former frontman of AC/DC) got that title:( but seriously, who puts bon scott in front of freddie mercury!

EI cannot watch this without smiling because if you recall from the behind the scenes video of this you see a pinguin poop and i think that's bloody hilarious
There is no singer today that can match Freddie Mercury in his prime. I miss hearing Freddie's music and will always be a big fan of Queen. Long live Queen and Freddie Mercury. Happy Birthday Freddie and RIP.
I've always respected the entire band for the way they rallied around him at the end of his life in order to squeeze out what creativity Freddie had left to contribute.
God he's adorable here. When i first saw this video in 1992 I was completely clueless. No idea he was sick. No idea even when the video was made (I'm an American. We didn't get much Queen toward the end there.) All I knew when i saw this video was that he looked wonderful, and this was the coolest video ever. I think Freddie would have appreciated that.
I think we all know where Tim Burton and Johnny Depp got the idea for the Mad Hatter makeup from!!!!! So many people owe SO much to Freddie and Queen. They are the best band out there their music is timeless!!!!
It's a shame when you say Freddie Mercury, most think of AIDS. He was such a great singer, artist and human being that I hope everyone will always remember him for those things and not for the disease that took his life. He lived more of a life in his short time frame than those who will live to their 70s and 80s ever will. Never did he complain when he was getting worse and never did he force other to take pity on him. His music will live forever. We will always love you Freddie!
@fantasyknuckleheads Indeed, curious actually why AIDS etc is brought up in conversation? Tim Richmond died of same thing if memory serves. NASCAR driver for the newbies. I never thought of ANY artist of caliber as gay or anything else. Why would I? I do not question people of talent?
I could never have guessed Freddie was so sick while making this video he's so playful in it so theatrecal. Now knowing how sick he was while making this video it brakes my heart once again, the words of the song are heart wrenching. My brave, sweet Freddie you sing, dance make playful videos through unbeareable pain only you can do that and i am proud yes my baby you faced it with a grin, you did find a way to carry on, you top the bill and you overkill. yes my love you did it all gracefully.
@RBEO22 If he was suffering any dementia, it certainly didn't affect either his voice or his song-writing ability. He was, and yes, IS, one of the greats.

I just saw this Queen documentary and when they first brought out that penguin and sat it next to Freddy it took a huge diarrhea poop and it spilled out over the chair they were all sitting on. All of the group had to get up, that was funny as shit XD
The day Freddie died the world lost one of it's greatest talents. Rest in peace Freddie! As for this video I think it's probably his finest work it's certainly my favorite.
This song is based on AIDS induced dementia (which Freddie himself was going through at the time)..and THAT is the reason I feel sadness whenever I hear this song.
I read from his costume designer that even though he was in heavy makeup, under heavy lights, and heavy costume, he would shiver when the take was over because he was so cold. He could also only stand 10 minutes or so at a time before his feet swelled up. Every time I look at Freddie, I try to remember good things, but he had such an incredibly awful death and I find it hard to get past that. This song is also about AIDS induced dementia. Freddie knew he wasn't as sharp as he once was. Sad...
@NeilFraudstrong Yes, it breaks my heart that He had passed such a painful death, but remember, he died doing something that he loved and was incredibly passionate about. This song is so symbolic for, not only how he felt because of AIDS, but because he needed to get some frustration out with everything that was going on, and what better way than to spend it with close ones and having a good time? Remember, he may have died in pain, but, not for ONE MOMENT do I believe that he died in vain. ^_^
@HippieChick1776 Not likely, at least not Depp influencing Mercury. At the time of Mercury's death, Depp had only been in five films; mostly small dramatic roles. Only one of those roles, "Edward Scissorhands," was all "Deppy" and quirky, and that was in 1990. By that time, Freddie Mercury was no longer performing. So, no influence from Depp.
I love this song..I was lucky enough to see Queen live a few times..'77 '78 and '82..they just blew me away every time!! Pure Genius..4 Amazing Men..this group never disapointed..Freddie Mercury..perfect voice..beautiful, sexy..sweet! Brian May master of the guitar..Roger Taylor great drummer..John Deacon..loved his bass..everyone an amazing songwriter...what a perfect combination..I miss your presence Farrokh Bulsara..you were a gift..This bands music will endure..I will always be a fan!
This is the last TRUE queen video. TATDOL just had Freddie moving his arms around and smiling. This one shows Queen as the fun-loving, quirky, and just fun group.
Listening to this song without watching the video makes me sad. Freddie sounds sad in the song! And I read why he wrote too and it just makes me miss him so much!
Farrokh Bulsara....the world is a darker place without you... glad I grew up in the 70's and had a chance to see Queen live..... ! Left my first concert a little in love with .Freddie a voice as close to perfect as you get a sexy, beautiful soul I will always miss his presence.,Brian May guitar master, Roger Taylor amazing drums and that falsetto! John Deacon great on the base and wrote some of Queens most memorible songs...4 brilliant men who were a perfect fit. Much thanks for the MUSIC!!
@PawzUK Also, I think it has something to do with the wig. I don't know about you but it takes me back to the days when he was much younger with the longer hair.
U say Hannah Montana, I say The Rolling Stones
U say Owl City, I say Led Zeppelin
You say Jonas Brothers, I say The Beatles
You say Justin Bieber, I say Queen
You say Taylor Swift, I say AC/DC
95% of teens these days listen to the same crappy pop over and over again. If you're one of the 5% who still listens to real music, thumb this up, then copy & paste it to at least five videos. Don't let the spirit of rock and roll die
This video makes me so sad...the lyrics are about Freddies AIDS related dementia...he died a year after this was filmed...it's the last video he had creative input in...you can tell how sick and tired he is...so sad to see...

And people were surprised he was gay?
