  • Like everything else, it's all about the money.

  • When I was fourteen, my manic-depression began to exacerbate, and I entered a terrifying period in my life. Two-weeks in a "cookie-cutter" psychiatric hospital left me "clinically depressed" and taking the current, typical drugs: Zoloft , etc. The anti-depressants triggered mania, and over a year, I gained 90 pounds thanks to Depakote and depression. It's taken me years to correct the effects of the care you're describing. The livability of our lives is absolutely at stake. Thank you, Diana!

  • Since I was on my own for so long, I'd done a ton of research so I knew about desiccated thyroid. The doctor responsible for writing me my first prescription handed me one for Synthroid. I refused it and explained something similar to what you did in your video. He yelled at me. I could hardly talk, but I refused to walk out of the hospital without a prescription for desiccated thyroid.

Cannot say things are great, but my situation seems better than that of others who remain on synthetic meds.

  • Your story sounds a bit like mine. The difference is that my labs showed that my thyroid was functioning perfectly. My doctor refused to listen to all the symptoms I had (15lbs of weight gain in one month, dry skin, depression, fatigue, etc). She told me there was nothing wrong with me. Luckily, I found a site that told me how to look for goiters - I found one. I told my doctor and she couldn't ignore that. A year after my issues began, I was diagnosed with thyroid cancer.

  • Wow! Your presentation was a powerful statement on the issue, because it was passion based on reason. Yes, you had credibility because it was a personal experience, but I've seen plenty of people speak unreasonably about their personal experiences, because they hadn't put any thought into their arguments. The reason that YouTube is so popular is that we almost never see anything this good on TV.
