This is silly. We arent going to have to worry about running out of oil ever. New technologies will completely replace oil.

I hope you are right.

The problem is NOT when we run out, but when we reach the maximum, or peak oil production. We use petroleum to move and grow food. We have spent decades and trillions of dollars for our oil technology. We will need to spend about the same time and money for new technology. If we max out in the near future, we could be in a world of trouble.

The problem is when countries like chine adopt the American way of life. We have 3 solutions,change our way of life, stopping people from adopting that way of life, or find new resources and technologies.

I'm skeptic that an impending oil crisis is a fantasy and I actually despise people who are counting on the idea that SOMEBODY ELSE will come up with a solution for them just to feed their sense of security. But despite all that, I too hope that this outcome is silly. I don't want to see my friends amounting their military careers to the amount it takes to fill a tank of gas in blood.

do you have any idea how dependent we are on oil not just to run our cars and goods transports, but also everything that is made out of oil,cosmetics,shampoo,your toothbrush medicines, clothes,fertilizer, computer components, everything that's made of plastic,

most of our electricity plan run on oil too.Most of the food you eat either comes from another country or consumes oil because or the farming machines, we gotta produce and consume locally, we gotta change and we gotta do it now!

Your video is FANTASTIC. But your English is horrible and it takes away from your credibility. It should be "Jimmy presents", not "Jimmy presends". It should read: "how will the world be without oil? Your art is too good to have those kinds of mistakes

AH! sorry didn't know this was a video game. lol anyways, an Ill prepared world and a fuel shortage does not mean war. It means a very bad depression, or a lack of ability to give the people what they need. a total collapse of the global economy. Mass poverty. But not the ability to wage war. Just mass poverty and many people working hard to develop a solution. The waring nations of WWII developed jet engines and the atomic bomb in a fraction of the time it would have happened in peace.

Also. if the oil situation got that bad there would be no fuel to send military transports, launch satellites, fuel tanks and trucks. You cannot start a war without a fuel source, let alone wage a war. And if they find a fuel source to fund a war, there would be nothing to fight about. Im sorry but this video is flawed in it's logic.

America has the best resources to halt it's oil dependency. To bad it will take a world war before the USA actually is forced to do something about it. Hell we have figured out how to make oil from algae. American milks the money tree until there is a very serious threat to our country. Then things change very fast.
