Linda Rondstant deserves praise for being the most versitile American vocalist. She has done pop,country,folk,torch standards,soul,opera,rock AND has sung in Spanish and French as well as English.She has sounded marvelous in all of these genres. The notes she can hit is amazing. I remember watching her on t.v. with my mom and dad,when she sang "Ave Maria".My parents just said "wow"

Beautiful. I had an entire "Linda Ronstadt wall" when I was a teenager... :O) Posters, picture disc, & eventually, a signed/framed photo. As a musician/singer myself, it's great to see when someone is REALLY feeling a song-because hey, singers are human, have moods, & depending on what's going on in their lives, or what they've experienced, they may/may not be fully "in" a song while they're singing it. Sure looks like she was IN this one... Kudos to Eric Kaz, the songwriter. What a GREAT song.

Linda Ronstadt was one of those performers who virtually owned most of the 70's. She reigned supreme. I really miss those days.

Even if she never had a hit record her place in history would be assured because the Eagles were formed to be her backup band. After they split company, Andrew Gold (Lonely Boy, Thank you for being a friend) was her lead guitarist.

@MillerMo10 Ain't that the truth! Though I love all her radio hits without question, these are the songs that leave me totally speechless and spellbound, cut through to your very soul. She is one of the few artists, the Eagles being another, that I can listen to every song on every one of her albums. No skipping or fast forwarding necessary. She definitely has no competition. No one can sing a heartbreak song like Linda!
