  • This song gives me big fat goose bumps.

  • When I listened to this song some 20 years ago, I did not understand the lyrics. I had not enough understanding of the english langage, and I was learning Italian at that moment. Thanx for the translation. I understand now that these lyrics are better than the seventies' daddy cool by Boney M. Do you know this last group ? Es ist ein deutsch Gruppe.

  • Wow, I've never heard this song before. Fabulous.

  • love this

  • I have seen Lou live,what a charismatic guy.

    Best gig I ever saw.

  • I wish I knew all you guys socially !.

I don't know anybody who likes this music. :(

  • BEST SONG EVER

  • this is what happens when two giants reunite.

  • Great Album!!!! Obrigada.....

  • As depressing as anything on Berlin (especially sonically) as it details the attempted assassination of Andy Warhol or at least the conditions (Open house) that led to that event. And yes Loui and DJKew,brilliant.

  • absolutely my favorite song on the album. beautiful. especially the harmony section.

  • @cinephilefromhell totally agree, almost makes the album complete. i love that part

  • ' Fly me to the moon. Fly me to the stars'

    Awesome music. Brilliant album.

  • Brilliant stuff.

Listen to the whole album if you can.

The body language and looks Reed / Cale exchange are priceless, but they both loved/admired Andy.

  • I never really liked Andy Warhol, he used people up like an oily rag. Though I wouldn't shoot him like Solanis did.

  • John Cale/ Lou Reed... friend / reflection Love with Andy.

If no one understands, it's a great play... with great music ..in my op.

Listen to it all b4 knowing

  • i love it ))

  • The one with the glasses is reed.

  • probably the best 'understatement-song' of rockhistory, Lou did a great job here.

young screaming indie-kids...take an example here: this is art.

  • which one is reed and which one is cale

  • 'Don't kiss hello, and please don't touch'

  • ouvre ta maison... love the CD but this video does nothing for me. it's true what the others are saying: the CD performances are awesome!

  • @dukeleopard . silly. this vidéo has been shot late 80's. in a MTV era, they are doing the opposite thing of what other artist were doing : a lipsynch version of their album. It's live!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

and this was showned LIVE on french TV on a saturday night............. can you believe it? I was watching!!!!! and it was a shock

i bet none of the songs on this album was aired on american TV. even in their LP studio version. period!!!!

  • @gillesnewwave hmmm.... don't understand your point gillesnewwave... it's a video of a performance that is distinctly inferior to the studio performance. Prefer to listen to the album. The visuals of the video are utterly uninteresting too. Period. Love you though. Please, get a life :)

  • @dukeleopard occupe toi de ta vie! j'ai le droit d'avoir un avis que manifestement tu ne comprend pas! stupide americain! donc circule de ma vue pauv' mec!

  • @gillesnewwave I am going to Paris soon and I am not an American. Hope to catch up with you. We can have cafe au lait and maybe even red wine and cheese.

  • my hairs silver not unlike a tiffany watch

  • The pain of poverty hurts, and lou and John express how Andy felt. I hear my story in this song, I just relate.

  • Such powerful simplicity. Great one!

  • For me the live versions of the songs are far superior...

  • No, Steinber, you're right...please, anyone who is taken with these live sessions, check out the cd Songs For Drella, if you have not done so already... the production and performances on the cd are outstanding....just brilliant.

  • wonderful. the cd versions are brilliant too if you were wondering. it's not the same audio as what you hear uh, here. i think lou does a better job on the album but that's me. love both these guys.

  • beautiful vid in all aspects

    thank you.

  • I used to listen to this tape in my car over and over....you can tell Lou was very emotional about it...and a little guilty...the songs are very loving and honest

  • Ahhhhhhhhhhhhh.. I haven't heard this in 10 years- beautiful memories- go Lou and John Cale x

  • Classic!

  • ..thanks 4 this..

    UhOh3991

  • Este disco é um dos melhores do Lou Reed, mas queria conhecer quem fez esta tradução para o francês, esta tradução está péssima!

  • ah

    how can i describe......

  • The Best....

  • John's beautifully minimal piano is such a great foil for Lou's attitude-drenched guitar (staring at 1:43 and building), and they sing so great together at the end. It's such a gloriously melancholy album, loaded with pathos. I listened to the tape constantly when it came out. Thanks to the poster.

  • The way to make friends, Andy, is invite em up for tea.

  • open house

  • Great album, I can't live without it. Thanks for videos!

  • This a great song from a great album. I'm very happy to see so many of the songs posted here. TY to the posters and thanks to John & Lou for a special album

  • Good to see Reed and Cale in better times (for a moment)...

  • strange

  • There is a God!

  • simply the best cd

  • The best
