Anyone help? I had WoW about 2 years ago and I was a level 54 Feral Druid, Im looking to get back into WoW and its dowloading now. I want to be DPS but I cant choose between a Mage or a Shadow Priest. Also, will many raids and guilds accept me if im just a Shadow Priest or would they want me to heal? And what class is better overall? I will be doing alot of solo-ing, Instances (Raids) and the standard Battle Groundsm Please get back to me :)
@Datbastd Yes, of course. And while they don't update as buffs/debuffs wear off, it is refreshed via MF so it usually updates with new buffs/debuffs rather quickly.

@JoshuaRAWRR You're very welcome! Even with the changes to 4.2, and expect more by the way, we're doing quite well in the raiding scene. I've played a Rogue, Warlock, Paladin, and Priest in progression content and I've found my Priest to be the most fun out of all of them and I'm sure you will to. 1 quick question at 12:00 you talk about halfus, what i do is vampiric touch and SW:P on halfus and SW:P vampirirc touch and dev plague on the drake an mind flay the drakes. you recon i shouldnt vampiric touch halfus to max my dps?
@d4rks33k3rz To maximise your DPS you'd want to all of your dots on Halfus including DP. However, the biggest threat in Heroic Halfus is having 5 things hitting tanks (nether storm slate halfus and the little guys). If you have tank deaths then only use SWP on haflus to maximize the dps on the drakes. You can personally improve your DPS by keeping all dots on halfus and use MS instead of MF in your rotation on the drakes when the whelps are out so it depends on your raids performance.

Good Q&A, especially for new Spriests-there were a few tips for more experienced players as well that I picked up.
My biggest issue with the class continues to be how to deal with heroic trash. I find every rotation sort of schizophrenic. There is not nearly enough time on single targets to ramp up using a regular boss rotation, multi-dotting can be mana inefficient and doesn't contribute particularly good DPS in shorter fights, and MSx4-MB-repeat also is mediocre DPS and sort of boring.
@cocobura They don't have any direct damage increases but Arcane Torrent allows for a silence and 6% mana regen (wowwiki doesn't mention whether it's base mana or not). Which means less SW:D which is a DPS increase. You could possibly also make a female and top the meters by wearing skimpy outfits /shrug.
@cocobura I sure did. I sent in a video for them to upload but I haven't seen it yet and haven't heard back. I'm going to send a follow up e-mail to confirm they have access to the file today.

So, I don't have any PvP videos I've frapsed yet. I have started gearing up my PvP set though. PvP seems to attract a lot of viewers so it's something I want to do when I can.
@cocobura Yes, I've got a livestream setup, however I don't have the quality that I'd like. I've gotten to the point where I can stream without much lag on the viewer side, but if you watch last night's 1 attempt I streamed I was having some serious lag issues on my side. I'm perfectly capable of livestreaming PvP though, and I will be doing that at some point. I only have 2 pieces of PvP gear though so I've got a ways to go.
@sharpie9712 That's not too bad. There are certainly a number of times I wish I had some quick mana because I wasn't efficient enough. Some day I'll be able to stream and you all can lol at my mistakes LIVE! :D
