  • @tarzan07330 I would recommend getting a hobbyzone champ as a beginner plane it really helped me out and a lot of people went straight into a intermediate plane like this and ended up crashing.hope this helps.by the way the champ is rtf and is 89.89 and batteries are on hobbyking for like 1.50

  • looking at getting this one or the p51 mustang for my first rc plane. i know people say these aren't for beginners, but i fly my 6 channel heli fine and have no problem flying any of the planes on my phoenix sim. so that being said, which of these 2 would you recommend?

  • would this or the parkzone spitfire be a good 2nd plane? i have the super cub lp and can fly it great. please respond

  • I love this plane it's so amazing crashed on maiden /: but cheap easy fix flies great amazing climb rate and keeps its speed awesome with engine off great flight times also

  • @ilikchez I still fly mine stock and enjoying it. Thanks for watching.

  • @reformedman definitely not get a super cub lp I learned on one and it's a durable plane

  • Two questions for you. I'd like to get this for my 12 year old who has never flown before nor have I. Do you think a 12 year old can handle this plane? Secondly, how much do you think the damage would be for plane, remote, everything that is needed for it to fly?

  • @reformedman This is not a good plane for a novice pilot. I would suggest a high wing trainer first.

  • @reformedman Try the free download FMS RC Simulator first. It will save time, money, agravation, frustration and disappointment that might turn you from this enjoyable and rewarding hobby.

  • when i grow up, i want my garrage to look like his.

  • Give me gimme gimme gimme gimme gimme gimme gimme gimme gimme gimme gimme gimme gimme gimme gimme gimme gimme gimme gimme gimme gimme gimme gimme gimme gimme gimme gimme gimme gimme gimme gimme gimme gimme gimme gimme gimme......................

  • what else do you need, if i get it do i need to buy any other accessorie eg. transmitters and etc?

  • Like modding.

  • Was that stock? Cause my um t28 was stock and it couldn't roll. I did the mod a it could roll, but I don't

  • @fireblade4727 I'm not joehandsome99, but I can tell you it was stock. My brother maidened mine yesterday (I'm just learning) and he made several rolls, immelmanns, hammerheads, etc. We just put it together straight out of the box and went to the flying field. No mods at all. He has 40 years experience flying R/C and declared it a great flyer.

  • @Rikki0 ok thx, and sry for late reply..

  • Eric....love your videos. Question....do you ever use any after-market parts when you do your mods? I'm refering to companies like Hobbypartz or Hobbyking. Just curious....I use Hobbyking quite often and am extremely impressed with their shipping time and their quality.....any thoughts?

  • Really nice, i have wildcat model in scale 1:72, but this si amazing!! Really nice video, and awesome flying!!

  • Beautifiul plane if only it had landing gear?

p.s. Anyone hoe to add landing gear to this plane?

  • Do you pay for al those planes? :o Or do they send you a plane to review it?

  • Hi Joe. I have recently mastered the hobbyzone supercub and I'm looking for second plane. I have some experience with ailerons on a flight simulater, and have narrowed my choices to the t-28 trojan or the f4u corsair. I want to get a plane which is forgiving but is still fast and can do alot of tricks. I'm hoping after buying this next plane, I wont have to buy a new plane for a long time. So, which of the 2 planes would you recommend?

  • i have an 850 MaH battery in my 50mm A4, so that F4F must guzzel...battery...

  • I just got one and foursome reason I suck at flying it I think I am gong to try flying slower and avoid trees.

  • Where did you get the little devil thing on the end of your TX Antenna ?

  • So if it doesnt come with main landing gear,,,whats the need for a tail wheel?

  • can this be mooded with gear?

  • i a have sat in one of these planes in real life, they are just beautiful planes.

  • hey eric I'm going to get this plane now that I'm experienced enough! thanks for all the vids you put up like these it really shows me if I would like to get the plane or not. this one looks awesome although I don't understand why they put the tail wheel on it =/

  • subscribe too me

  • I have the Radian and The Super cub lp. What would be better, a f4f or a t-28d?

  • See, because of your videos, I want about four of the parkzone planes!

  • can u put landing gear on this plane?

  • @zyx514 You could try corsair landing gear.

  • great videos

  • looks a little to plane to me [-_-]

  • i fly the ultra micro t 28.would i be able to fly this?

  • your garage looks like a hobby shop!

  • @LongboardHeliPilot My hobby shop is my "man cave". Lol... Thanks for watching.

  • @LongboardHeliPilot LMAO....more like your hobby shop looks like a garage.....

  • one more question i have mastered the parkzone radian do u think this will be easy to fly? also are u thinking about getting the radian pro

  • @Aero2121 No, I don't think I will buy the Radian Pro. I have the original Radian and the pro differs only by having flaps and ailerons. It may turn out to be a great plane, but not something I am interested in at this time.

  • what did you like better, this or the mustang?

  • @rg26100 They are both high up there in my opinion. You cant go wrong with either of them.

  • @joehandsome99 spoken like a true politician .....lol

  • can i fly this even i am a beginner

  • @garface99swe The hobbyzone supercub is a better starter plane. Then try this one.

  • Great vid. you just sold me one Eric hope to hav fun with it

  • @RCboy221 Thats good news. Hope you are enjoying it.

  • Great video Eric.....I just maidened mine about a week ago in some serious wind and it flew pretty good....it is a hot rod though...very quick!! However, my last landing was a bit unlevel and one wingtip touched the ground and it broke along a line straight across from the outer edge of the aileron....a weak spot I think with this plane......other than that, I love it. Just need to get this S/W Ontario wind to calm down a bit so I get get back up....

  • @c0139835 Glad to hear you are having fun with yours. Keep it up.

  • What do u thing is better the Trojan T-28 BNF, this plane, or the upcoming radian? i have the first radian.

  • @Aero2121 The wildcat is a little easier for starters than the trojan, but both are great planes. It depends on your ability.

  • Im 13 and thinking of getting a wildcat because i have just finished on my super cub.

is it a good choice mate or is it a waste of money? when i fly my cousin can plug in a trainer lead for no risk of crashing. Could you please send me some info about it?

    Cheers mate

  • @standwak If you can fly the supercub then maybe you could fly the wildcat. If you are buddy boxing then give it a try.

  • I've never understood why Parkzone bothers to put tail wheels on their models that don't come with landing gear. What's the point? Or for that matter why do their micros come with landing gear but many of their larger models don't?

Anyway great videos Eric keep up the good work.

BTW are you planning on doing any more MEP 16+ tutorials?

  • @mk1505 I am waiting to get MEP V17+ so I can start some new tutorials.

  • I'm a new to this hobby, you've been alot of help Eric. Thanks! And keep up the good work!!!

  • @joebraxt Thank you for watching and the comment.

  • I got to put a Maiden Flight on one of these the other day, It was the first time I ever flew this F4F and I gotta say I was surprised on how freaking smooth it flys, Very responsive, handles nicely, I could not find one bad trait. It is fast tho, When I was attempting 'slow' low passes it was really coming by hot. When landing, Be careful tho, you got to land with some speed, I seen that if you get it too slow when landing, it really wanted to fall, keep the prop spinning till the last second.

  • @Prttimeninja2 I'm having fun with mine so far. Thanks for watching and the comment.

  • Hi Eric, the F4F should also doing great belly landings in the snow next winter.....people recommend me the Wildcat above the Messerschmitt, do agree ? can,t decide which one to buy BR, Jean

  • @marinjeam Yes, the wildcat is better than the Messerschmitt by far.

  • How big of a field is recommended

  • @Loofa1016 200 X 200 yd open area is more than enough.

  • @Loofa1016 Depends on your ability. I can fly it in my front yard. For less experienced pilots I would suggest a football field to start with.

  • Could you use the HP6DSM-SR that comes with the blade SR to fly the F4F? You can bind this transmitter to other heli's like the mSR (albeit the rudder is more sluggish than the mSR stock trans).

  • @mrblah696969 That transmitter is programmed to specifically work with the Blade SR only! You will not want to fly it with that TX. A DX5e or any other Spektrum/JR transmitter will do just fine.

So no ultra micro transmitters or heli transmitters. Good luck!

  • you know dave!?

  • @WhiteValkery Yup!

  • Which one do you like better the P-51 BL or the F4F Wildcat?

    Thanks

  • @Sant9510 They are both great fun. I am on the fence with that question.

  • Nice vid... Will the battery compartment accomodate a bigger batt? Maybe an 1800 or 2200mah lipo?

  • @gonadus Yes it will, you will need to trim it for the heavier battery though.

  • I wish this plane had at least a 30 esc, 2200 lipo and landing gear. Maybe someday Parkzone will give us retracts.

  • Nice review. Do you feel that the 18amp ESC is adequate for this aircraft since all the other Parkzone Warbirds are spec'd with 30amp ESC's? I'm concerned that using amy 2250 mAH 45c Thunder Power packs may get the electronics a bit toasty.

  • @603Crawler Using a larger capacity pack/higher discharge pack will not risk your electronics unless you have blocked off the cooling. Increasing battery voltage or changing the prop could increase current, but otherwise, you're fine.

  • @603Crawler I've flown it with the larger packs with no problems. Hope this helps.

  • Great video!

Perhaps I missed it (them) but I would greatly appreciate a video(s) on how to learn to fly R/C planes. I get them in the air and crash 'em or get 'em stuck in the trees. Laughing all the way of course...

  • @jackloganbill haha. gotta try doing that in a vid soon. Thanks for watching.

  • Nice! I'm getting one for sure.

  • @moolikeacow2 Good to hear.

  • Man that's a nice flying plane. Where would you rate this on in Parkzone's lineup of Warbirds?

  • @optimistONE It is one of the easier ones to fly. I am really liking this one.

  • The rare "Sea foam green!" Great to see new footage from you. I'll go give this model a look over.

  • @whizbang47 Thats good to hear.

  • kooooooooooooooool thanks

  • @badgolf1 you are welcome.

  • Nicely done. That plane is a walk in the park for sure. Thumbs up. Better bring that one too. LOL

  • @NightFlyyer Thanks Dave. Sorry so late on the reply. Have lots of videos to catch up on. You've already seen it in action!

  • Exellent video!!! Is this one easier to fly than T28 Trojan?

  • @TheConchuot Yes it is.

  • Hi Eric, that "wild"cat looks like a pussy cat... Flies real nice and slow, but looks great in the air.... How long did it actually take to put together, was it really "Just a second"? lol its really quiet too, makes me wanna go get a Spektrum radio just to fly stuff like this...

  • @123RCUK It took about 10 minutes to get together and then maybe another 5 for programming the Tx. Thanks for watching.

  • that first fly by wasnt full throttle i hope. lol

  • @Lilbanks96 dont think so. Just testing it out then.

  • looking good Eric. If you're gonna hand launch and belly land then cut that darn tail wheel off. LOL!

  • @rele30 haha. Thanks for watching.

  • Thumbs up for the World Famous "Thumbs Up" I think I need to get this plane!

  • @hairlesshippy Thanks very much.

  • great flight!!

  • @deniz1eren Thank you

  • i like this one looks killer!

  • @gpellis1 Thanks Greg

  • Got mine today! Lovin it!

  • @cid186 Thats great!

  • Very cool looks fun to fly! The stripe on the prop looks cool. Keep these reviews up, I really enjoy them

  • @E744763Productions Thank you kindly.

  • That is a good looking plane, but no landing gear? Oh well you made a great belly landing in the grass. Great video.

  • @stevetinyhallman Thanks Steve.

  • Looks as if it flyes very well and looks great in the air..{"_*}

  • @spektrum33 Thanks for watching.

  • @jdssosa This is my second war bird from horizon hobby and it flies great. It flies comparable with the T-28 and Mustang, but a little slower. I flew with stock setups on the throws and had no problems with it.

  • Glad to see you have the F4F Wildcat Eric and it looks like it flies really well or was that the pilot ;-) because i liked the loops and then into the invert very nice,i've been waiting for my LHS/on-line store to get these in stock but no luck yet ;-( but hope to have one in a couple of weeks if there in by then ;-) top video/top flying = thumbs up.

  • @startazz Thanks Ian. This plane flew great and I didn't even have to trim it out on the first flight. The hand launch in the video was the actual first flight. No adjustments needed. Thanks for watching and the comment. Are you getting one?

  • @joehandsome99 Yep just got to wait for them to come into stock over here mate ;-)

  • hey were you at the nitroplanes fun fly event with dave? i thought i saw you!

  • @magicmike1122 No, sorry I couldn't make it. It sounds like it was fun though and I am sure Dave will be posting some videos soon.

  • looks nice and looks to fly even better. great job eric.

  • @skullz6666 Thanks kindly. It is appreciated.

  • great video! Nice Plane!!!!

  • @anderman72 Thanks for watching and the comment.

  • wow great plane, parkzone has yet to disappoint me. lol because of this video I want to go fly my plane now.

  • @jmey107 I am with you on that one. Parkzone has been releasing some great planes.

  • where is the landing gear

  • @jayworthenwhoa No landing gear on this model. It does have the appearance of the retracted wheels though.

  • you should add the 400 watt upgrade pack-HOLY CRAP does it move.

  • wow looks just like a old real plane cool

  • @TheNews1990 It sure does. Thanks for watching.

  • sweet im glad you got your hands on it

  • @Lilbanks96 Me too! Thanks for watching.

  • very stable airplane, great review and quality footage again Eric, thx !

  • @beverke7 Thanks for watching and the comment.

  • Looks like a winner, Eric!

Was that full throws on the ailerons, or was there expo on it?

  • @nishbrown I flew the Wildcat with the stock setup on the throws and no dual rates, but will add that for future flights. I would like to see it roll a little quicker and maybe try a knife edge. It flies great with the stock setup though.

  • Nice review. Another cool looking war bird. Now they need to come out with some micro jets.

  • @jauchiu I would buy one for sure. Thanks for watching.

  • i´ts still not acadible in germany :( Do you think it´s ok for a beginner? I Fly Helicopters, i´m okay in it. In The Sim i´m prett good with planes.

  • @cy2kill It really depends on your skill level. I recommend the super cub as a first plane before jumping to one with ailerons usually.

  • Nice review, lol at the end :-)

  • @Skydive4ever I had a little fun at the end as always. Thanks for watching.

  • wow, that came out quicker than I thought. Nice vid! Don't know if I will get this plane, but maybe ;p I already have 3 planes sitting waiting to be built! I like how the wings are in 2 pieces that is nice. Looks like a very smooth flier! Nice vid! Thumbs UP!

  • @earthling1984 Yep, see you had to go off and get married while I am still filming planes. lol... Looking forward to your next review. Have fun and lets see one of those black sand beaches while you are there.

  • @joehandsome99 hehe. I'll have the E-flite F-15 and the Hobby-Lobby Mig-21 coming next! I hope to unbox and build them both in the next day or two, as well as maiden fly them!

As for black sand beaches, sadly I didn't get to see any of those :( The island we went to, Oahu, didn't have that. But the beaches were great, and we had a blast in the water! We are home now, got back at 5AM! (Left yesterday at 4PM!) My sleep pattern is all messed up heh.

  • hey eric, do the bind and fly models come with the bind plugs? great video once again. how bout a road trip to my house i'd fly with ya any day!!!

    p.s i live in Ireland

  • @MrDiesel278 It's really easy to do and Parkzone already had the binding plug in the Rx. Power up the plane and turn on your Tx in bind mode, release the bind switch after a few seconds and thats it. Then power down the plane and remove the bind plug and you are through. Thanks for watching.

  • @joehandsome99 ok i think you might misunderstood me eric, i was just wondering if they came with the bind plugs. i never got one with my dx7. thanks for the reply thought.

    scott

  • I hope the wings are correct

  • WOW that was some great editing at the end, i loved how you put videos in a video with links...great idea and great flying btw, your vids are awsome!

  • @jackuserjack Thanks kindly for the compliments. I'm glad you enjoyed the video Jack.

  • how much is this?

  • @lin350gg There is a link in the video notes to Horizon Hobby for pricing, parts, etc.

  • Great video....nice flyin, too! Gotta love the eflite/parkzone stuff....always flies awesome outta the box!

  • @TheLipRipp3r The BNF models are spoiling me. I can get one flight ready in less than 30 minutes. The other RC companies should follow Parkzone's lead on that. Thanks for watching.

  • Man, what a big kid!!!! ahah, You just can't wait can you??!!! lol, I just saw those like yesterday on the net but they were out of stock. How did you get one already! I still like my BF-109!!!

  • @youtwoba I need your wig for my next video. lol... The wildcat flies a little smoother than the BF-109 to me, but it is a little slower. The paint scheme is alot easier to see in the air over the 109 also. Anyhow, they both are good scale planes.

  • keep it up man.....

  • Hey Joe, Awesome looking plane. I was wondering how big the field you are flying in is, and how big you think you need to fly a plane of that size. I have a T-28D and am a little afraid to maiden it due to its size. Also any other tips you have. I've really only flown micro planes/helicopters.

    Thanks, Ben

  • @Benboy207 I fly in an area a little bigger than a football field, but it really depends on your skill level as to the area you need to fly in. I'd fly in a large area first and when you are comfortable then try a smaller area.

  • You already got it! Nice review.

  • @Admiral1428 Thanks for watching.
