  • using a countersinking drill bit would be easier :)

  • I highly recommend professional installation if you do not feel comfortable performing the work. Transducer placement is and level though not super critical is the difference in good images and great images. This video is to help those that want to try it themselves. It's not hard but professional installation can make a huge difference if you install incorrectly. Most Marine Dealers can help you.

  • Thank you for the great video. I just bought a 798c but will try to install it on an older ski boat while I spend a month at the lake. I guess I may need to get a professional to install it since it might not work as easily as the portable Humminbirds (like the 385ci portable).

Would you recommend a jerry-rigged suction cup install at the transom for the 798?

  • can u put a side imaging transducer on ur troling motor reason im asking is cause obviously ur trolling motor would me moveing when ur using it

  • I've run the SI on the trolling motor for over 3 years and absolutely love it. That's one of the greatest advantages is the adility to turn the trolling motor to build images and look in and around and under structure like under docks.
