no a good way to remember which side you put discs in a wii is the bottom is thicker than the top because that's where the drive's laser and goodies are to read the bottom of the disc ! =]

Nintendo didn't refurbish this. They sent you a defective Wii that they probably didn't even touch.

I think Nintendo should have made the wii with a proper disc tray, at first I thought wow I can just push the disc in without having to open a clunky disc tray. But really all its doing is increasing the risk of broken disc tray but still.
