Of all rock 'n rollers, Elvis probably had the most interesting life in general: renting out amusement parks, starting football and bowling teams, buying a couple of cars a day, starring in movies, mastering karate, partying in Vegas, etc.
I am 18 years old and know every lyric to every elvis song thanks to my dad. He is and always will be the king of all music. Genuine legend and genius
One of the three kings of rock and roll... the others being Chuck Berry and Jimmy Reed. Damn fine stuff and something the kids playing rock and roll today can learn from. Hell anyone can learn good things from this shit. It's the real thing.
@fdr100100 that is true.... fats domino would be right there too... little richard not too far away either. you could perhaps add jerry lee lewis to that list as well.
@zamacity61 hell yes. it doesn't get anymore real than this. this is the closest we'll ever get to hanging with elvis and his band while jamming at home... thank god he did this show. i can do without the weird psychedelic shit later in the program, these few minutes of jamming is the living end.
@rockabillycat1954 His absolute best was in the beginning, with just a combo. The original cut of "my baby left me" is still the best southern rock I've ever heard--it never got any better.
@rockabillycat1954 yes, yes, yes!!!! you're completely right, I agree....oh my God, I can´t stop watching this vid, thanks God he took the gig, at first he was a little bit afraid of doing wrong, I can't believe that!
