I give this movie 2 stars out of 5. To me this movie seemed really cheap, not a movie of Hollywood standards. Would have been better if it was a straight to blueray/dvd movie or better yet a tv movie. Since this is the first time that the Hmong people are introduced in a Hollywood film I feel there should have been more emphasis on the topic of how the Hmong people helped the Americans in the war in Vietnam. It was too brief I'm sure the majority of the audience forgot about it by the end.
Sorry to say but I don't see these two Hmong actors (Bee and Ahney) as anything special. They seem like regular average Hmong teens. When you see White American actors on tv they have what I'd like to call "the look". Plus they really need to work on their interviewing skills.

That was an amazing movie. Ahney and Bee's performances blew me away. I wouldn't be surprised to see them again at Oscar time.
