Why does Square Enix insist on taking a dump on their already waning fan presence? It wasn't like the creators were going to market this game---it was purely by fans for fans. If anything, I think it would've helped keep interest in Chrono Trigger alive and kicking just in case SE ever decided to get off their asses and make another game.

The sad thing is, if SE actually PAID the creators of this hack to make it a full game, I'd actually buy it. But no. C&D is how they went.

Crimson Echoes seemed like exactly the sort of project that Square should have done long ago, had they even the slightest bit of desire to continue with the Chrono series.

I honestly don't see the big deal. This looks like the same game, same graphics as the original, but turned around and just not in harmony with what the original was, just like all fan projects. So the palette was changed to make it look night, big deal. This looked pretty boring and not inventive or anything. If it was all new graphics and music that'd be something. This...well, may as well rip graphics and use them in game maker. It's just a boring rehash with lame fan ideas.
