about Battle Royal, seems to be the same here in Scandinavia with Uwe Bolls movie Rampage after the summer camp massacre in Norway, that movie will probably not be released here in a long while.
The Battle Royale release still makes me happy face, was that epic i bought two copies. Easily my fave film :) the directos cut is about 3 scenes exta and some extra CGI gore (most noticable on the collar deaths) it's a awesome set :D

Beer drinkers sounds shite lol, i've heard good things about big jnr so i'll check that at some point in my ever growing list of things yet to watch lol. Not really too bothered though as its a cool set. By they way if you have trouble playing the PAL extras DVD you should be able to play it in a PC via VLC.
As for other Arrow releases I only have Dawn and Day of the Dead, which aren't as fancy as BRoyale but you still get a ton of extra stuff.
I actually got to see a screening of Christmas Evil w Lewis Jackson bring his 35mm dir. Cut of his film. He did a q/a afterwards and I think he was boozed out cause he was cussing a mad storm and sharing how the film was filmed. Nice battle royal blu ray set!

@spr12cr spike was an ok short film. it reminded me of the short film 'nekro' just not as nasty. its about 20 min long and has 2 other shorts on the dvd. big jr is really nasty and fits in with all the toetag type films. home made horror at its best. hope the storm didnt mess with you to bad!
There's a version of Baron Munchausen from 1943 that is very good. It is called Munchhausen. And then there's Terry Gilliam's version The Adventures Of Baron Muchhausen. The Czec one has the wonderful east european animation for the fish if I remember rightly. Stay ahead of the natural nasties you two. Stay lucky.

The hurricane by passed us here in Georgia and is on it's way to the Carolina's. I have Christmas Evil on vhs and dvd. Christmas Evil stars 90's pop star Fiona Apple's father as the killer in it.

I actually think that Baron Prasil influenced Terry Gilliam in some way, i mean just think about that pipe scene on the boat amongst others.. i can definatelly see some influences. That big fish was very well made for being in the early 60´s, i liked it.
They mixed alot of technicks on that movie all from regular painted on the negatives to animation to real live paintings and some other cool stuff. Beerdrinkers in space. i know about that one, from what i seen it doesn´t seem that good.

I actually just watched Baron Prasil on youtube, the whole movie is to be found there with english subtitles. It was interesting, i like some of the visuals in it.. it goes from blue to yellow to red.. they play alot with colors, very artistic so i would say to that it is a perfect movie for a Criterion release.
Over here in NJ everyone went crazy about the Earthquake, which in my opinion was blown way out of proportion, I didn't even feel it here yet other people a minute away said they did, either way there was no significant damage. Now it's all about the hurricane, so much media frenzy! Hope you guys are ok during it though.
@Absolutesublime1 we felt the earthquake. we live on the 2nd floor and were both on the couch when it 'hit' (if thats what earthquakes do) i dont think there was much damage anwhere do to the earthquake. the hurricane missed us but a few miles. thank god but i know it messed up a few of the towns in this area. hope you town and yourself are ok.

That Arrow Battle Royale is awesome,I treated myself to it last Xmas LOL. I remember picking up that Korean release at Hot Topic back when they had a section devoted to horror movies. Quite a waste of $30! Christmas Evil is awesome by the way. The ending is amazing. Great episode
@leebenway yea the korean boxset for BR was a let down. but i was abel to watch both 1 and 2 because i picked it up. but it sucks that nothing else had subs but the film. still need to watch christmas evil. but we love xmas horror so im sure its great.

I remember picking up that Korean release at Hot Topic back when they had a section devoted to horror movies. Quite a waste of $30! Christmas Evil is awesome by the way. The ending is amazing. Great episode

@leebenway yea the korean boxset for BR was a let down. but i was abel to watch both 1 and 2 because i picked it up. but it sucks that nothing else had subs but the film. still need to watch christmas evil. but we love xmas horror so im sure its great.
