@xdiesp This is the website version, which isn't in the game. The in-game version is MUCH better and is basically an upgraded version of the original PC tune (without the changes of the Wii version.) Look up videos by Aviarmew to hear it.

@dezimo Pixel released the original as a freeware game, so technicly, any one can do anything with the characters, story, music, etc. without breaking any copyright or trademarks. I.E. he didn't want money to begin with, he just want's the players to be happy.
I'm positive that he was informed that this would be made, though, and I'm sure he asked them not to butcher it. (although there are slight changes made to accomidate the 3DS system, along with the altering of some begener's traps.)
@PhonyWrong What I'm saying is that the graphics have no impact on the gameplay (which I have now played, and it IS actually a full upgrade from the original, not just a graphics upgrade).
@Dryaxx i say don't look at it like it's ruining it as much as imagine having a verion of the game for long car rides that doesn't involve bringing a laptop, car adapter and a USB controller.

Ugh, im never gonna buy this. CaveStory is meant to be 2D pixel, not a shitty graphic 3D!!!!!!!
Im going to buy the epicer version from steam, tho i still have the free. Original CaveStory FTW!

Throughout time, classic games have been remade with better looks and such. Which is in a way part of the nostalgia. Sort of.
