This song is played during the red - blue epic battle that was played in EP4 Tea party which was suspiciously missing from the anime. It's a shame, because this remix is alright.

Now slightly off topic: I do like the anime's version of golden slaughterer, but I can't find it anywhere. Google just takes me to the VN's version, which is nice, but I'm looking for the anime's version specifically.

In my opinion, the anime was very good in the technical aspects (VA, music, art) but it had horrible directing and pacing issues, and it needed more than 26 episodes. Probably 40 at the least. They also needed to spend more time on some of the important things, and less times on the not important things. EP 3 is a glimpse at what a fully realized Umineko anime could've been: good pacing, good direction, and they got in the important details.

@Solachinx Well, there's always the PS3 port, which is exactly the same as the original sound novel save for better graphics, some select rearranged music, and the fact that it's fully voiced by the anime's very fitting VAs.

Word has it that Chiru is getting ported to the PS3 too. So I personally will be content if there is no Chiru anime, but I can't say the same for the anime-only watchers.

Ugh. My only beef with Deen's music remixes is why they didn't include their version of Worldend Dominator on Crimson Rose. I mean, I love the VN/SN's version, but Deen's version was a great remix. I also was hoping Thank You For Being Born would be on there, but alas it wasn't...oh well.

Dreamenddischarger is definitely one of my favorites on the Crimson Rose CD, along with their version of Happiness of Marionette.

@Begeru That's because the the anime cannot compare to the masterfully woven writing and the intense music of the original. It disappointed fans in key moments of the series and the animation was subpar. I actually think the original's minimal sound effects intensifies the feelings when playing and gives you more room to imagine what occurs, and so the anime disappointed many in living up to expectations.

It was solid, but not good enough for fans who have experienced what Umineko truly is.

@xYukii Partly also the fact that most of Deens budget went to Fate/Stay-night Unlimited Bladeworks. Type Moon is both more popular and more famous then 07th-expansion. They started out the same as Doujin studios but Type Moon was simply more succesful and turned into a real studio, of course studio Deen would put more money on the works of real Studios

I don't care what happens so long as Chiru gets made. DEEN may have abridged Umineko more than anyone would've liked, but the cast did sell whatever script was given to them, and the music isn't half-bad (at least they grew tired of "Suspicion"). I know there will still be the drama CDs, but a Chiru anime in any form would complete me.

But what I do know is that the Lycee Trading Card Game has released a new trading card for Toya Hachijo (AuAu's human form), and I don't know who drew that picture of her, but it sure as hell wasn't from the VN. It KIND OF looks like what she would if Chiru was made into an anime, and has become another driving factor for my desire of one. If you are unfamiliar with the card of which I speak, I could forward an image to you.

@Hanyuuuuuuu Late Night anime doesn't get the right to have over 26 episodes. Only long-running prime time titles like Soul Eater get lucky enough to have 50 eps. Umineko was never going to have more than 26 episodes per season. So sadly, there had to be some losses to make everything fit within the time they had.

The anime was terrible though. I don't know how it was received in Japan, but anyone who's played the VN will tell you the anime is pure bullshit and should be nuked from orbit. The only good thing about it really is the character designs.
