ok thank you for responding , yeah I go to church and I also im a roller skater and over 5 months post relaxer , trying to transition but I don't know it's getting hot , and I don't want to pay money or waste my time flat ironing my hair and sweat it out right afterwards. I 'am thinking about getting relaxed again , after a shower and getting dressed you star sweating , and it just seems like a waste. I'm going to try as much as far as possible . maybe there are serums I don't know of to help me
Get the straight facts along with lovely, smooth hair! Without the proper ventilation cosmetologists may be over exposed to eccessive levels of formaldehyde or glutaraldehyde, so they should invest in an efficient ventilation system. A "Chemical Source Capture System" removes these potentially harmful vapors from the breathing zone of both the stylist and client. Search "Chemical Source Capture System", "Hair Smoothing Controversy" or "Preferred BKT Ventilation" for additional information.
If i order this what exactly do i need to order? i know i need the actual Keratin, the shampoo and conditioner but what about the post treatment? I only want to order what i "need". Can u tell me everything i need to order to keep my hair nice and healthy please?
@xXSPAZZOXx15 Well I didn't order the product, my stylist did. I recommend you get it professionally done first; ask your questions and note all the steps taken and then afterwards perform it by yourself.
Your such a pretty girl!,But i got a question,I use S-curl texurezer less agresive in my hair,Do you think using BKT is smart to use? I don't worry about the curls because i just want my hair to be soft xoxo????
@CottonCandyREHAB I have actually wondered about s curl. But BKT is safe to use with any chemical in your hair. BKT is just a lot of protein used to straighten hair, no damage should happen at all.
@lovelyhearts15 yes. its not a chemical straightener so it won't permantly straighten ur hair but it will make it softer and alot more manageable. For ppl with natural hair, its awesome.
Hi, i also have semi relaxed hair (it's about 1/3 grown out) and i was wondering if i should just do the keratin treatment , or touch up my roots and then do the keratin treatment? I would love to know your thoughts on this, because im sure putting both chemicals can be very risky but i've always had thick, strong hair. I use heat on it alot and have done relaxers, japanese straightening yet it is not as damaged as you would think.
@chelseaa321 well putting keratin and relaxer is safe actually bc keratin is just protein. Many ppl do the treatment weeks apart from one another. I would personally do the keratin first then a month later put in relaxer. You'll see with the keratin in your hair it makes ur new growth more manageable and less curly.
i'm kind of confused about something... if your hair is already striaght from the relaxer than why would you also need the bkt? what benefit does it add to the hair? i'm looking into getting the bkt just out of curiousity, but i already have semi relaxed hair i went from 3c to 3b.
@calberkeley01 Well kertain treat ment is to stop ur hair from frizzing. Especially in harsh weather with lots of humidity, relaxed hair tends to get frizzy when outside in bad weather conditions. Its also makes ur hair more manageable, u wont need too much flat iron to make it silky and it helps ur hair grow faster.

You are beauuutiful :) Thanks for the vide,,, are you using a BKT with NO formaldahyde? Also what kind of relaxer are you using? and WHY do you suggest relaxers and BKT's :)? THANK YOU!
I am actually using low grade formaldahyde based keratin. I use Mizani mild relaxer. I say to use both bc keratin does not make ur hair straight. It takes ur hair and loosens the curl a bit but you still must relax it to keep it from shedding
@StopDomViolence no its not. But I dont relax my hair all that often. like once every 5 to 6 months. And I try to not relax it bone straight, I like my hair to be full and thick, not straight and thin.

I WOULD GROW MY RELAXER OUT , IF I KNEW THAT MY HAIR WOULD NOT REVERT AT THE ROOTS, I'M VERY ACTIVE ......COULD YOU RESPOND PLEASE
PEB979 1 year ago
@PEB979 BKT leaves your unrelaxed hair wavy for a few weeks. If you are active I recommend relaxer and BKT.

I STOP DOING RELAXERS AFTER USING THE BKT. MYS HAIR LOOKS A LOT BETTER THAN WHEN I USED TO JUST RELAX IT.

thanks for posting!
i have several questions:
has ur hair become more manageable?
has it been quicker to do ur hair (wash, dry, straighten)?
which products did u use?
did u do it urself? was it easy?
is the smell bearable?
