  • I was at the gig cant remember it or can i

  • Hi there. For those of you who love this song, please check out my page for my bands live cover version. We know this is a song that many tribute acts mess up. Hopefully you will like our version! Kind regards- When Gary Met Lizzy

  • The twin guitar attack, yeah.

A whole year missing you Gary.

  • long live G.Moore too!!

  • Perfect!

  • Absolutley brilliant. First time I have seen this version and it is by far the best ever!! Gary Moore is just fantastic. They dont make them like that anymore.

  • GORHAM & MOORE = BRILLIANCE! My fav dual axe attack!

  • Brilliant! The best live performance ever!

  • POWERFUL it is just brilliant!!! Rock on Phil & Gary - rock on everyone!!!

  • @Flamorgan Totally,I Agree With You !

  • I saw Thin Lizzy on the Black Rose tour (opening for Nazareth) in 1979 in Waterloo IA. Best concert of my life. I had never heard of Gary Moore before that night and have never forgotten him since.

  • @TheRealThomo Following your logic, Spike Milligan was therefore Indian, as he as born in India.

And the Duke of Wellington was Irish, as he was born in Dublin. When someone suggested to the Duke of Wellington - pursuing the same logic as yourself - that he must be Irish, he responded “Just because Jesus was born in a stable doesn’t mean he’s a horse.”

I suspect Phil Lynott would respond in similar fashion to the idea that he was English. Although he might have been a bit more blunt about it.

  • Master piece and this performance is awesome!

  • F*ckin' awesome!!!

  • Gary fffforever!

  • All ego's thrown in the bin for a very special night to remember the KING!

WE ALL LOVE BOTH YOU PHIL AND GARY R.I.P.

  • @noxas777 - I wanna see a show in this style for Gary Moore and another one for Ronnie James Dio! I'd pay BIG BUCKS for those shows and the DVD's !

  • @GeorgVanHalen I totally agree!

  • @ceejaydoyle Phil was English, he considered himself Irish though he was born in the Midlands

  • HOW HE FOUGHT AND ALWAYS WON. AND HOW THEY CRIED WHEN HE WAS FALLEN

RIP PHIL LYNOTT TRUE IRISH LEGEND! YOUR SPIRIT LIVES ON

  • Absobulity great! My favorite Lizzy's song.

  • great partners......understanding over all the years

  • Lynott is a legend. Period.

  • From around 2:20, this is about as good as it gets.......

  • Amazing performance! RIP Gary.

Anyone got an audio rip of this entire show?

  • I hope Gary and Phil are having a good time in heaven now.

  • what's with the start Gorham !!!!!!

  • Moore awesome full stop!

  • This is feckin awesome.and to the people on here who are saying these are Brian robertsons solos are talking out there asses the guitarists on the black Rose album are Gary Moore and Scott gorham.am afraid robbo who I think is amazing as well btw couldn't play Gary moores parts

  • Can you say Legends...Pure awesomeness!

  • you can see the chemie, fun and respect of his boys.........

  • hammer !!!!

  • An amazing tribute to Philo from Gary class guitars as ever, hope they are both up there causing mayhem....still out here!!!!!

  • Kaltekhan1 - We'll just have to agree to disagree. At least we're old enough to have seen two amazing bands and survived to tell the tale!

  • Great tribute song to Phil. Go Bless you Phil & Gary! Keep rocking Scott, Brian, Darren and Gang. Thanks for the memories!!

  • in memory of gary moor R.I.P

  • I said it on another clip and I'll say it again. THIN LIZZY ON THEIR WORST NIGHT COULD BLOW LED ZEPPELIN OFF THE STAGE ON THEIR BEST. After their superb first tour LZ gradually lost their chops. Watch Song Remains the Same and then watch Live and Dangerous. No contest, not even close. Thin Lizzy were quite possibly the most amazing, powerful and proficient band ever to tour... and Brian Downey has never received the acclaim he deserves. He could play rings around John Bonham, in his sleep.

  • @edfou5

Sorry, but having seen them both in their heyday & also being an Irishman, I disagree. Zep in their prime were simply the best band ever.

  • @edfou5 YOUR ONLY RIGHT IF GARY MOORE WAS NOT PLAYING . WHEN HE PLAYED THEY LOOKED LIKE A PUB BAND GARY MOORE WAS AN ASSHOLE WHO DID HIS BEST TO FUCK LIZZY UP

  • @yorkshiretractors aarrhh mouthing off AGAIN !!!

  • @1jackiea gary moore the biggest twat in music you dint know that did you aussie boy or is it shemale we dont with you lot of assholes now fuck off aussie UK JOBS FOR UK WORKERS

  • @unravelled1962 Those solos are not played by Gary Moore but i agree they are also good :)

  • @nisseht THOSE SOLOS BELONG TO BRIAN ROBERTSON- ROBBO

  • Brian Downey still has it on the drums!! Brilliant. God Bless you Scott and RIP Phil and Gary

  • fookin awesome, brilliant syncing on guitars.

  • 0 people forgot thin lizzy :0

  • amazing to see a live performance with no dancing or costume changes and no theatrics, let the music do the talking. All these new pop stars should take a look, but they would not sellout concerts, and that can't be so bad

  • this is the best tribute to Philip! So much emotion and command of the spirit! God bless Gary and Philip, Scott and Brian! (and Brian too!)

  • Soo many emotions when watching this, from deep sadness at the loss of Phil & Gary to total elation for the incredible spirit played in the song.

  • Is there anybody out there that can be considered good enough to do a tribute to Gary Moore .........R.I.P........A true legend.........

  • not one single dislike. I like

  • Ah, me "Windfingers".....none better than you......rest on the other side. My love will be with you forever. I so miss you. Carlie

  • Philo Philo... The music world will NEVER be the same - since you're not around anymore...

Genius Phil Lynott! Best ever. The one and only true KING of rock!

  • Fall red -coh-!!!! Frogs 'n different boobies Sun well....

  • What a great tune to listen to on my old headphones...........FAAAAAAAAAAAANTASTIC..

  • Sends a shiver down my spine, absolute genius! RIP

  • Well, that's the meaning of twin guitars

  • @unravelled1962

Hey Harrie! The solo from Dancing In The Moonlight was played by Scott. He said it was one of the reasons he ended up liking the song haha, because he liked his solo! Gary rocked and still rocks though!

  • I wish I was Irish...

  • @synystersevilheir this type of usic is a daying breed lets not forget it

  • @synystersevilheir Drink and then Poof You're still not.

  • I almost cried while watching this video. I know Philip was smiling while Scott, Gary, and Brian played this.

  • I guess Gary missed Phil a great deal when singing this song and in some ways was no good without him - They say Elvis was the king - but I still hear the true king call

  • I think this is the best gig Gary played that is on video. Plus he held the whole thing together. He guided the other players through this gig.

  • I'm proud to be Irish.... R.I.P Gary!

  • R.I.P GARY & PHIL

  • Fucking superb. Rock on GM

  • Fantastic guitar playing precision goin on here.

  • 涙が出て来る。

  • two of rocks finest guitarist with two of rocks finest guitars....

  • @floatncoffee HAHAH Scot ,one of rocks finest guitarists!! HAHAHEHHAHAAHEE

  • it made me smile... didnt they enjoy it to? fantastic

  • scott gorham looks like ben stiller

  • @mortoallegro

yeah and you look like my ass hole

  • @craniuman such a beautiful ass hole you got!

  • LEGENDS! We miss u Philo and Gary

  • Phwoar!!!

  • I had an old guitar magazine from about 7 years ago and there was an interview with Zakk Wylde and he said "If you want to learn guitar, listen to Gary Moore."

    Can't argue with that.

  • Took my 16 yr old son to see Gary Moore on Nagoya, Japan last year. It was a memorable experience for both of us. RIP Gary.

  • I always love Scotts guitar playing, his phrasing is awesome yet he always keeps it simple that stikes me to the bone.

Of course respect to Gary too I must say....

  • Gorham was always second to Moore.Just because he's American doesn't automatically make him a superstar.Moore had to teach Gorham to play his minor part in this song.Who composed the guitar music by himself - Scott Gorham.Yeah right !. Too busy with his nose in the snow bowl.RIP the master !.

  • All the lucky people that saw this in person, be grateful.

  • There ain't another band in this world that can even touch this song!

  • Nothing wrong with Scott playing a strat here. I wish EVH would stop playing those homely Music Man's too and go back to his striped guitars but what are you gonna do? For all we know Scott prefers a strat style for other reasons more than just it's weight. Besides, outside of Lizzy, he and Gary both used strats quite often.

  • Gary Moore tribute gig 18th April whelans dublin. acts include Eric Bell and the Business Blues Band. details on whelans live site

  • Scott drifts back and forth between the Les Paul and his Strat, actually I think he's starting using the LesPaul Axcess, due to the different setup :)

  • so wish Scott would go back to using his Gibson! He just doesn't look right with a Strat! If its too heavy he shud get weight relief version. Or, just MAN UP!!!!! Love this song. RIP Gary.

  • so wish Scott would go back to using his Gibson! He just doesn't look right with a Strat! If its too heavy he shud get weigth relief version. Or, just MAN UP!!!!! Love this song. RIP Gary.

  • 0 dislikes, fuck yes

  • i haven't seen an irishman shred like that since my uncle Shamus fell into the wood chipper

  • 4:55 great snare work from Downey. especially behind a guitar lead, accenting it perfectly. Such a great irish drummer.

  • I didn't realize he died! Sad to see a talented guitar player like that go!

  • rip, gary and lynott

  • Scott Gorham is a wonderful guitarist and among the coolest living people. Heaven grew a lot cooler a couple of weeks ago when Gary Moore went to join Phil Lynott -- the coolest person not named Jesus who ever walked the earth.

  • Where is Brian Robertson?

  • @Donegaldan he is in the concert but they only got scott to play on this song, when brian comes on tho..... u know he is there hahah

  • Wish I could get a ticket to that gig... Bless....

  • That guitar solo is effing nuts!

  • A true legend R.I.P

  • this is bloomin awesome,as for "the tygers of wing wongs" response, youre aff yer heed mate!naw really!Scott Gorahm was a" God",long before you were born.Idont care if he "said as much",you would`nt would ya?look at the very end of this clip and tell me who is playing the lead solo ? Iknow Gary shat guitarists, but thats an overdub if ever i saw one LOL..GARY MOORE RIP,

  • Scott was ALWAYS second guitar! Good but never on the same levell as Gary, or Brian Robertson. On his own admission in interviews!

  • @tygersofpantang You don't know shite about guitar playing, mate. Anyone who could pull off what Scott's doin' here on this song is top notch. I guess you'd have to be a guitar player to understand. "til then, keep it zipped, Jr.

  • I love the little 'come on' motion by Gary to Scott at 2:08, as if to say: "Let's show 'em what we can do!"

  • The Great Gary Moore, May You Rest In Peace

  • You are my guitar teacher , forever !!!

  • sensacional o melhor

  • Nowt beatz dat - u can FEEL the Love

Phil Lynott will make sure the bar is open for us when we getz there

  • they played like heaven down her I like too heer them up ther

  • Brilliant! Rest in peace gary

  • Be real good if there was a place on the top table with all the other distinguished names for Danny Joe Brown of Molly Hatchet. What a brave man and inspiration he was! RIP Gary Moore. Saw him first in 1979/80 with G Force. Always a hero. Saw him in 2001 at Fairfield Hall in Croydon and he played 3 songs with 2 broken strings, and there was no difference. The guy I went with had seen Hendrix at the Isle of Wight, but said that seeing Gary was like being in the presence of God! Nuff said I guess!

  • God, listen to that tone.... RIP :(

  • another fallen son..RIP gary

  • Listen to the freakin power coming off Gary's guitar , he understood how it was to be done , and man could he do it , Scott is no slouch either , These guys flat out smoked

  • Nice one Scott you are up there with the best of them.

  • Another rock legend gone, what a shame,Gary was so good.

I have most of his great work on my channel.
