I worked at this concert. Even though I'm not a big metal fan, metal shows are the best because you can release so much energy. During my break I went into the mosh pit for As I Lay Dying. Best part of the day.
As a matter of fact. That popsicle you're eating at 2:15 might have come from my cart. Long haired kid with a sandy brown beard in a blue Nestle shirt?
@madscientist312 I'm guessing you were there with them? haha, I had no problem with them. Not sure what people are talking about. One dude with them was throwing water around. It felt nice in the 40 degree weather. If that was you, thanks!
dude awesome video..nobody could whip the smile off my face when i was there for thoose two amazing days with all the brothers and sister of metal...you must of been close to me during megadeth and bodom
fuck the whole weekend was such a blast, i didnt want it to end :( As for the metallica comments about being too big for stuff like this, gonna have to disagree, just because i seen them at rock the hill in halifax on july 14th.
OMG thoes 2 girls at 2:28 were the biggest pricks. they were behind me for Motorhead, and they kept trying to have a mini moshpit and then when we pushed them into the real pit (cause they kept hitting me) they ran out as fast as they could. then during megadeth the fat one sacked me, so i body checked her into the pit and she got tossed around.
@BOBT3AM How could you possibly tell from this video, the music the bands played weren't even in the video. And this was only day 1, day 2 was even better.
@musicaddict666 strange as it sounds, I was a huge billy talent fan and loved their first album. 2nd album not so much, but by that time I was heavily drowning in heavy metal and have never recovered \m/
@jonnybarvo Dido. I've thought for awhile that if they metalized there sound they could be one of my favs again but as there sound stands it's just too simple and boring to hold my interest. I think they have far more potential than they let on.
dude it was hot as fuck that day. Very glad the clouds came with those brief spurts of rain. Seriously though, wtf is up with the venue not having a single area to get some shade aside from that guitar video game area? Either way, great show. Megadeth rocked, as I figured they would. Opeth was amazing, as i lay dying got everyone pumped and I left with some crispy skin.
@SlurpEee25 hahaha, the first time I read this I thought you said you left with "crispy chicken" and I was sad I didn't get any :( but ya it was super hot but man, the rain was just perfect. Not too much to ruin the show, but just enough to cool people off and add some nice atmosphere, especially during Opeth. And I purposely bought that goofy hat for this concert at the dollar store because I can't handle the sun. saved my life!
@jonnybarvo .... Kay I have a few questions for you... #1. Is your name Andrew by chance? #2. Did I meet you in Rob Zombie crowd? Just wondering.. If not.. you have a twin!
@jonnybarvo that chicken stand was expensive dude, I didn't bother with it. I had a slice of pizza and about 15 bottles of water. During Opeth I was pissed at the roadies on the other stage doing sound check. I had no sunscreen on and I forgot my hat so I had to buy one of those cheap "HEAVY TO" ball caps otherwise I would have likely passed out. Not sure how the mosh pitters survived!! Crazy
ya i was thinking the same thing myself. metallica has become too big in their own minds for stuff like this. that's why i love megadeth so much more now and have a tonne of respect for dave mustaine. he's really doing what no one else has the balls to do for metal these days, with Gigantour and now with Heavy TO. love that guy!!!!
@TeamKorrupt its bcuz Metallica is being stupid, they want to have there own individual concerts, there never apart of these things anymore, I was offers to go but I only wanted to go if they had the BIG 4, otherwise I'm not spending 130$ bucks for a ticket.
I was there from right before Bodom to right after Megadeth! It was a fucking epic concert!
Do you think you could either upload or send me all the mosh pit footage you have from any of the pits? My brothers and I were in a few and there's not much pit footage on youtube, it would be much appreciated!
i disagree. there was certainly enough crowd energy to punch me in the face and ribs several times. it depends where you were in the crowd i guess.and unmotivated bands?
Hey I also went to Heavy TO just for Saturday because I thought they had better lineup, I wanted to see Slayer too but it wasnt worth the money for one band. I was mainly there for Children of Bodom and Opeth. It wasn't a great concert sadly :(
There was no crowd energy and a lot of the bands just looked unmotivated. Maybe it was too hot to play or something.
I wanted to go to Heavy MTL, they had more bands playing.
Did you go to day 2?

That's not entirely true, Metallica performed in Quebec City for Festival du Quebec.
And it will perform in Rio for the Rock in Rio festival.

bands had alot of energy in my opinion. at least bodom and megadeth. opeth is always laid back but they always put on a sick show as well
