is there any other programs I can use to record because I don't have a mac, i have a lap top and a LG. I will use anything but Hypercam. Hypercam kinda makes me crazy. Ive just been using it so long I want to try somethin else.

You should get another editing program...iMovie is really crappy in comparison to Final Cut Express (just over $100)

apple animaton isnt hte best for everything. for my tutorials i cant use animation . I capture in uncompressed 8 bit. so its only compressed once insread of twice. better quality but takes a powerful system to edit uncompressed. animation is best for games and Graphics but not really tutorials etc great video. if oyu use animation its already compressed once into animation as its captured. it doesnt compress uncompressed when recording.

try going to start capture on the file menu on the top, but edit ur recording area first.
