  • I love the Gattaca and Bladerunner are so close together. Gattaca is one of my favorites, though, I feel it's not very sci-fi - either way, it being on the list is <3<3<3

  • Avatar above District 9! District 9 should at least be in the top 20...

  • is this list in order of greatness? if so, you have got this severely wrong. 12 monkeys better than empire? do me a favour...

  • @brisingeruk I've had a lot of comments complaining about the Star Wars fillms being ranked too high - you're the first to complain the other way. And I have had lots of comments glad to see 12 Monkeys ranked highly. You're the first to complain. The Star Wars films are great entertainment. 12 Monkeys is better science fiction.

  • ACAB

  • Space Odyssey? You put one of the longest and boringest films as one? What the fuuuuu...?

  • @SCIFIguy64 James Cameron, director of Aliens and Terminator, has said that "even to this day, 2001: A Space Odyssey remains the all time great science-fiction film". Ridley Scott, director of Alien and Blade Runner, has called it "the best of the best." I think it is fair to say that both of these directors know a thing or two about science fiction films.

  • There is no way in hell that the Truman show is better than the wrath of khan! List fail.

  • @genaralsnizz Truman is a more original, more inventive work than Khan, and it has been said that it captures the spirit of Philip K Dick better than those movies actually based on his works. Khan is a good action adventure, with good character development, but the sci-fi aspects are fairly routine. The first Star Trek movie had a better sci-fi story, but wasn't told very well.

  • I'm glad GATTACA made it into the top 100.

  • @Platschheimer Yes, it made it into the top 5. I believe that it is an excellect science fiction film. The films has important things to say about things that could happen, things that society needs to think about before they happen. And it says them in an engaging, thoughtful and provoking way.

  • @seaturtlefilms You're absolutely right! I think GATTACA is probably the best SciFi movie of the 90s. And it is a real dystopia whose aim it is to remind people of keeping an eye on certain developments. Yes, it is more a mentally thoughtful film than an action movie, and the cast is just brilliant.

  • @3Axy10Est13 of course Donnie Darko is a Sci-fi film it's about time travel

  • 1. 2001:A Space Odyssey 2. Blade Runner 3. Dr.Strangelove 5. Inception 6. Gattaca 7. Star Wars 8. The Truman Show 9. 12 Monkeys 10. Alien 11. Minority Report 12. Donnie Darko 13. Aliens 14. The Fifth Element 15. The Abyss I dont know if I would consider A Clockwork Orange or Vanilla Sky "Sci-Fi" but those are great films as well.
  • @3Axy10Est13 That's a pretty impressive list. By the way, I think that Vanilla Sky is Sci-fi. I note that you have nothing prior to 1964 - none of the great films of the 1950s. But still a great list.

  • @seaturtlefilms Thanks... I didnt know if alot of others would include Vanilla Sky, but that would be in my top 20. And A Clockwork Orange is my 2nd favorite movie of all time behind The Godfather. Kubrick is the best.

  • 2001!?space!?odissey?!2001 A SPACE ODISSEY!?WWWWWWWWWWWWWWWHHHHHHHHHHHHHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAATTTTTTTTTTTTTTHHHHHHHHHHEEEEEEEEEEEEEHHHHHHHHHHHEEEEEEEEEELLLLLLLLLLLLLL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!???????????????????????????

  • @IRONHIDE666FUL I see from your channel that you like Back to the Future, so we at least agree on that much.

  • Yes! Five Star Trek movies!

  • @theemrpoint123 Yes, no other franchise has made as many good movies.

  • galaxy quest? ... GALAXY QUEST?

  • @DeliciousPoop You didn't like it?

  • @seaturtlefilms my answer is not even relevant..........what is relevant is that it in no measureable way can fit into the top 100 especially ahead of some of the genius flicks you had in there......... plus it is probably most likely a comedy (since tim the tool man taylor is in it and he makes NO other types of movies).... it's like calling spaceballs a sci fi movie, just because there is a spaceship, doesn't mean it is about science fiction, the goal of the movie was HUMOR

  • @DeliciousPoop I agree that it is a comedy. There are several other comedies on the list. Science fiction can be done as comedy, romance, adventure, horror, thriller, drama - these are all ways of telling a story. Science fiction refers to content, not style. However, there are many good films with science fiction trimmings that aren't really good sci-fi. Anyway, I enjoyed your thoughtful comment. Thank you.

  • I think you should have put Contact in.

  • @thermalcamera1 Yes, I made a mistake when putting the film together. Contact was supposed to be #39. The video has only #99 movies.

  • Esqueci de Fuga de Nova York

  • Blade Runner

    Alien - o 8º passageiro + Aliens - O Resgate

Mad Max + Mad Max - A Caçada Continua

    Guerra nas Estrelas + O Império Contra-ataca + O Retorno de Jedi

    De Volta para o Futuro

    Robocop

    O Exterminador do Futuro

Esses são os filmes que gosto de ver e rever. Não os considero os melhores filmes de ficção científica. Stalker e 2001 por exemplo considero entre os melhores.

Gosto muito da atmosfera dos filmes da década de 80, do carisma dos atores e das histórias.

  • I might like 2001 if it's reduced to 95 minutes.

I like the way the movies are presented.

On my top would be Blade Runner, Matrix, Terminator 2, Star Wars 4, 5, and 6,

Movies not mentioned that I like are Avalon, a Japanese/Polish production, and Cyber War/Avatar, a Singaporean production including a hot Caucasian actress. Avalon is now available on YouTube!

  • muito bom. excelente.

  • @AndersonVillanova Muito obrigado. Quais são os seus favoritos filmes de ficção científica?

  • @seaturtlefilms Hi, I need help. What movie was it where this kid takes control of convicts like a video game and if you win your released? I can't remember and I loved it. Might be around the same release as Surrogates? not sure but any help would be nice. :)

  • @bcajma12 sounds like Gamer (2009)

  • @seaturtlefilms Thanks... so obvious I would never have remembered -_-

  • and maby Pandorum

  • @bugarskipocisk I don't feel too bad about leaving it off the list. But movies are very personal. Almost every movie has some fans.

  • hmm old Dune?

  • @bugarskipocisk Dune, Predator and The Thing (1982) are the three films that I get the most complaints about omitting from the list. Dune does have its fans. It did make my followup list of the next 50

  • @seaturtlefilms In response to the Dune Q/A, you included the three Star Wars movies, which are not science fiction, they are fantasy space adventures. Dune, Predator and The Thing take their place automatically.

  • @TheKwistazHaderach By the same argument, The Thing is not science fiction but horror. After all, it won the Saturn award for horror, not sci-fi. Predator could be called action with sci-fi trimmings. I am happy to call them all sci-fi (but I draw the line at Superman and Groundhog Day).

  • A very good list overall, though I would have placed some higher and some lower numerically. For once I'm glad to see some older and more obscure films included. Well done.

  • @MsAppassionata Thanks for your encoragement. There are some more old or obscure films on my video of the 50 next-best sci-fi movies..

  • Gattaca 4? wtf

  • @jassontheblack2788 Gattaca depicts the future in a way that is original, very plausible, and very distubing. It raises important issues and explores their implications intelligently and in a very engaging way.

  • Predator?????

  • @Jindohin It is in the next 50.

  • A boy and his dog. Thanks for reminding about a great film I haven't seen for ages!

  • @Opononi123 - yes, a good story beats a big budget any day.

  • Short circuit?

  • @NVOLIKOS I liked Syd Mead's robot design. Also, Number 5 is a very engaging character.

  • i like your choices and your presentation! thumbs up!

  • @moonbeamchaos Thanks! Any that you haven't seen but want to see?

  • I think you selected very admirably. I liked your presentation very much. Enjoyed it.

  • @dryland8 Thanks very much.

  • flash gordon!!!

  • @logopilot It does make my next 50 list.

  • Comment removed

  • @3Axy10Est13 4 of my top 6 are in your top 6 - that is very close agreement for this kind of list. What are some films you'd shortlist for the next 10?

  • @3Axy10Est13 Have you seen my films 6 degrees of sci-fi parts 1 & II? A lot of these films show up in those.

  • Comment removed

  • I don't see Predator here.

  • @CerealKiller1981 No, but it does make the list I did of the next 50. No matter what 100 films I listed there would be complaints about the good films missing - there are more than 100 good SF films.

  • some were repeated I think

  • @junkyjuice21 Twice I included a film and a remake: King Kong (1933 & 2005) and Invasion of the Body Snatchers (1950s, and 1978). There were also several sequels, including ones from the Star Wars, Star Trek, Aliens, Back to the Future, and Terminator series.

  • First of all, I love A Clockwork Orange. That movie is nuts! But I don't see how it's sci fi. Sure it's an exploration into the true nature of mankind and psychology, and they did some experiment to make the main character a better person, but it doesn't seem like sci fi. I REALLY like how this list is geared more toward sci fi movies you can actually watch and enjoy. I hate the "Film School" sci fi movie lists where half of the movies are boring ass black and white movies from the 30s.

  • @junkyjuice21 Film school lists are for people learning to be film makers. This list is more for fans of SF movies. I do have 6 films on the list from the 1930s, and they are worth seeing. But about a third of the films listed are from the last 20 years.

  • @junkyjuice21 I agree.. A Clockwork Orange is in my top 5 favorite movies of all time, but it doesnt seem like a Sci-Fi Film much to me.

  • How about Pitch Black or The Chronicles of Riddick ?

  • what about Stargate, A.I., Signs,

  • @Gaalian AI is at #43 (1:45). Stargate I thought was rather silly, and Signs was rather gripping for the first three-quarters, but let down badly by the I'm-melting-I'm-melting-what-a-world! ending.

  • No Dune huh?

  • @WickedMo13 No, not in the top 100. There were so many notable movies that I didn't have room for that I made another list for the next best 50, and Dune is on that one. Dune certainly does have its fans.

  • @seaturtlefilms help me please, there was a movie we watched in the 80s, begins with scrolltext like starwars. humans in startrek-like suits fight robots in a cave on a red planet. there was an mad scientist too.... grml, thats all i remember. wanna watch it again.

  • @TimBuktu666 Sorry, nothing comes to mind.

  • @seaturtlefilms yep. I think Its to layered for a lot of people. Meta-concepts.

  • I've never thought of The Truman Show as sci-fi, personally. It's a great movie, but I don't really count it as sci-fi.

  • @EsmeAmelia Perhaps your point is that the events depicted in The Truman Show are possible with existing technology? However, it is a film the shows tedhnology being used to do something has hasn't been done before, and the social implications of that.

  • I liked The Time Machine better than Back to the Future, although I did like Back to the Future for a commedy as most commedies i don't like and some parts of it I thought were stupid which is why I don't care for most commedies.

  • Serenity is my personal number one, but that's just my personal oppinion!

  • here was TWO king kong movies

  • @JorksX Yes, the original and the 2005 remake. I also included two versions of Invaders of the Body Snatchers. The remakes of The Thing and The Fly were contenders also. Sometimes a remake of a good film can also be a good film.

  • Since when is Star Wars better than Alien and Aleins?

  • @Licoricesnails Depending on what criteria you use, you could certainly make the case that Alien and Aliens are better. But Star Wars was enormously influential, allowing an avalanche of big-budget science fiction films to get made. It created a universe rich with characters, places, species and technology that has become almost universally known. You don't have to be a Star Wars fan to know Darth Vader and Princess Leia.

  • @seaturtlefilms Totaly Star Wars was begginng of best sf moves for me beacause i dont prefer old black and white moveis :DD

and Star Wars for me was always better, so good story of the film not like tipical horor type alien xD

  • @seaturtlefilms Very influencial I agree. I actually think I was just thrown off by the main character. In other sci-fi movies you've got cool characters like Ripley, Riddick, Alice, etc, and in Star Wars you've got Luke Skywalker. He's... irritating. But I'll have to sit through it again sometime, because other than that I think I would enjoy it.

  • @Licoricesnails Star Wars had Harrison Ford as Hans Solo as the cool character he went on to do all the Indiana Jones movies.

  • @hydrolito Harrison Ford was the only one that went on at all after the Star Wars movies. :P

  • @baby231 Yeah Harrison Ford is awesome, but I still wish the main character was cooler. Btw, has anyone seen Wishful Drinking? I never really liked Carrie Fisher until I saw that. I've watched it twice and it still hasn't gotten old. :)

  • @Licoricesnails Part of it is based on what you like campy action or realistic special effects and plot, etc. I perfer Godzilla the 1998 version over pervious ones I saw because more realistic storyline and special effects and yet some Godzilla addicts hate that version.

  • @hydrolito I put the 1998 Godzilla in the category of "guilty pleasure" - I rather enjoyed it, despite the fact that there was a lot about it that wasn't that great. "The Core", "Lost in Space", "Knowing" are some others.

  • @hydrolito Good point. :) I guess campy can be just as effective to the right audiences. The Blob scared the crap out of me when I was little.

  • @Licoricesnails Which Blob scared you as a kid the Blob with Steve McQueen, the one with Larry Hagman or the 3rd one I forget who was in it?

  • @hydrolito Steve McQueen. I was so scared I wouldn't eat jam for weeks. And yet I managed to sit through The Mummy and Jurassic Park without batting an eyelash. My dad doesn't really know what kind of movies are appropriate for young children. :)

  • What happen to the knowing an independence day

  • @crashartskillz1 Independance Day is at 0:36. Knowing, by Alex Proyas had a lot of interesting parts that did not produce a satisfying whole, so it didn't make the list.

  • Where did #97 go ?

  • @on4sax I made up for it by having two 94s. The missing 39 is more of a worry - it was supposed to be Contact.

  • @on4sax hahahahahahah yea i watched this clip like 5 times and i didnt notice that lol

  • I never search for top 25 movies action, sci-fi, comedy etc, to find a list id say, yeah thats the way my list would go, but more to try and find something i might not have watched before in order to have something that might be good to watch that night. and tonights movie is...... starship troopers. Im thinking a more, dystopic kind of film to watch, any ideas?

  • @legendary1986 some dystopian sci-fi films: Gattaca , Brazil, Children of Men, Soylent Green, Fahenheit 451, Logan's Run, Robocop, THX-1138, and of course, 1984. Brazil is a black comedy, Logan's Run is adventure, Robocop is action, the others are dramas. Some might argue that the society in Gattaca isn't bad enough to be called a dystopia. Some might consider depictions of the unchecked power of corporations in Blade Runner, Alien and Moon to be dystopian.

  • @seaturtlefilms The way you have said - ofcourse, 1984. means i have to watch it as it seems as if, i already should have. thanks here goes!

  • @legendary1986 1984 is the great classic dystopian novel. The film is a good adaptation, but it probably works better as a book. The movie certainly captures the grim, stark mood of the book.

  • Ps. Reading these comments makes me think that ignorance is a bliss :) The lists sequence is obviously neither top down or button top best sci-fi movies...

  • Beeen looking the whole fucking google for this one sci-fi that I saw a few times when a kid but filtering 10000 sci-fi/alien movies through wiki, imdb, you name it WITH NO DAMN LUCK!!

Finally this top 100 list made me find the name and year for this great sci-fi THANK YOU SOOOO MUCH!!

  • @orion9k I'm glad you found it. But what was the movie?

  • I've never been able to force myself to watch more than a minute or so of "Starship Troopers," so I'm a bit perplexed that it is on this list, much less that it is ahead of several much better movies.

  • @Pooua I think I have had more comments about Starship Troopers than any other movie.

I think there are broadly four opinions about it. Starship Troopers is either:

    1. a really cool, funny action movie

    2. a dumb action movie

    3. a really clever satrire pretending to be a dumb action movie

4 a dumb action movie pretending to be a clever satire pretending to be a dumb action movie.

Verhoeven's Robocop and Total Recall have also been called "intelligent dumb movies".

  • @seaturtlefilms Robocop is a man's SciFi. Actually, I think it is heavily influenced by Roman Catholicism, though I don't remember exactly what gave me that impression. Total Recall is an OK story; at least it had some attempt to portray how people in their situation might actually act. "Starship Troopers" was insipid all the way thru, far too juvenile, naive and vulgar.

You have other movies listed that I wouldn't normally think of as SciFi, but I can see them included loosely.

  • list was pretty much backwards.

  • @puggsy16 It is a countdown, with the best films last.

  • @puggsy16 Im bitter with your selection because I robot, district 9, children of men, the new star trek or the matrix didn't even make your top 50. Obviously because they don't make the 'classics' classification and people would think lesser of your opinions if modern scifi movies made up the top 10.

  • @puggsy16 Contrary to your conjecture, I made many of the choices knowing full well that they would be unpopular. However, it is difficult to compare of films from different eras, balancing originality against improved technical abilities. Most people prefer recent films, so I have done two videos ranking more recent films - 2000-2009 and 1995-1999. See if you like my choices there.

  • This is way better than similar lists on You Tube. Thanks for making and uploading it!

  • @ssesf Thanks for that. I have looked at your sci-fi playlist - you might like my "50 more sci-fi movies" list also.

  • I like your choices, but I would add Contact. Just my personal preference.

  • @PrivateRyker123 Yes, Contact was supposed to be there. There are only 99 movies listed. Contact was on the list I wrote - I even had a photo ready, but made a mistake putting it all together. I skipped from 40 to 38. I really must put an in-screen comment about this.Contact is, however, on two of my other lists.

  • I can't watch Jurassic Park any more since I learned that the T-rex and raptors actually had feathers. Seriously. Search "dinosaur feathers".

  • @no2religions Very interesting.

  • Wait time out how the hell is dark star higher on the list than the thing?!

  • @BurningTruth I think that Dark Star is the more original of the two. It is one of the first to portray working in space as not like the gleaming tidy and well-organised spaceships of 2001 and Forbidden Planet but poorly resourced and disorganised, with employers back home who don't care. Writer Dan O'Bannon expanded on this theme in Alien.

  • I am glad you put on the list Forbidden planet! But I would add Star gate ,They live and The day of the triffids.

  • @immocentar Forbidden Planet mentoned in a few of my other videos. Thanks for your other nominations, I like to hear what films people like.

  • My favorites on your list:All original Star Treks,Blade Runner,Fahrenheit451,War Of Worlds 1953, 2001 Space Odyssey,Day Earth Stood Still,Metropolis,Alliens 1&2,Invasion Of Body Snatchers,Thing 1951,Frankenstein&Bride Of,Them,Time Machine,Godzilla,Clockwork,Original King Kong,Road Warrior,Logans Run,Invisible Man,Robo Cop,Fifth Element.... I may have missed 1 or 2. Keep these good vids. coming, people love Sci-fi.

  • @floridafyme I see that you like the classics!

  • "let the argument begin!"

  • There are some great movies here.

  • @floridafyme I think so too. Any in particular that you were glad to see listed?

  • U missed DUNE 1984

  • @MaSsA011 Yes, although you will find it on my "50 More Top Sci-fi Movies" list, and on "Star Wars, Blade Runner and Aliens" list. It is also in the book 101 sci-fi movies you must see before you die, so you are not alson in thinking it a good film.

  • is pitch black and chronicles of ridduck fantasy or does my taste just suck?

  • @Nelson676 They are SF, but I didn't think they were as good as the other films on the list. RevolutionSF website gave Chronicles a good review, though, so it depends on what you like in a movie. Thanks for your comment.

  • I think "Cube", "Equilibrium" and "Sunshine" are also top sci-fi movies.

    Good list at all!

  • @mutantx8 There are so many good films that aren't on the list I did another video for the next best 50. Sunshine made that list. I didn't much care for Equilibrium. I though Fahenheit 451 covered the same ground better.

  • The matrix should be #1!!!! :0

  • @WhitneyMatterfis The Matrix is a very entertaining, popular and influential film, and looks very cool. I ranked it above many other films that I personally like better. But it has serious flaws. It raised a lot if interesting questions, then pretty much ignored them in favour of action. It is a sci-fi action movie, but the action is better than the sci-fi, and in this list the sci-fi counts for a lot.

  • An excellent listing, and a near perfect ranking. In fact this is the best list I've seen. I'm glad you've got Tarkovsky's "Solaris" up there. And at last, someone puts 2001 in its rightful place. As Roger Ebert said: "2001 is the greatest science fiction film ever made, and one of the greatest films ever made." I was lucky enough to see this on "Cinerama" when it first came out. It is still my favourite fillm. Well done for creating this excellent list.

  • @fidomusic Thank you for your kind words of encouragement. I had no trouble deciding to put 2001 a number 1 - no film since has come close to matching its ambitious scope. I am glad you enjoyed the list.

  • Comment removed

  • @seaturtlefilms ummmm that was wasnt mind control, that was just classical conditioning, basic psychology. I could train my brother to do the same thing, all you have to do is have a set behavior followed by a negative, pretty soon the brain will know that if it does that behavior a negative will follow, deffinetly not science fiction its science fact

  • @Ph0be Yes, the broad theory of the technology depicted was based on Pavlov, but those powers do not exist. If they did, then repressive governments would already be using them to make criminals harmelss - it would be much cheaper than keeping them in jail. Setting the story in a furture Britian rather than, say, 1972 Soviet Union, sets up a conflict where we at first sympathise with the government for trying to protect society from Alex, but are then uneasy about the implications.

  • wow, A Clockwork Orange was in no way shape or form sci-fi, nothing in that movie was science fiction, the movie was set in the "future" I call bull shit, movie was gay as fuck, nobody watch a clockwork orange unless you like contreversial movies

  • @Ph0be I agree that A Clockwork Orange was controversial. But it was clearly science fiction - the mind control technology is just one example.

  • @seaturtlefilms your view is extremely limited if you only watch whats on the "top 100 list"

  • @Ph0be I think we are having a discussion at cross purposes. I said "there are many more than 100 sci-fi movies worth watching", and you replied as though I said the opposite. The Island and Titan AE are not on the list beacuse the other films on the list are better. That's all. There are lots of good films that aren't on the list.

  • Also I think the movie the island should have showed up on here, its very underated but it has a cool plot, genetically grown humans who are being harvested for their organs or limbs for rich clientale

  • @Ph0be There are many more than 100 sci-fi movies that are worth watching. I haven't seen The Island or Titan AE on any best ever lists, though.

  • @seaturtlefilms whats wrong with Titan A.E.?

  • I think Half of the movies in this Video are shit. You wouldnt know a good sci fi movie if you were living in it.

  • @JeffCriton Give me some examples! Name 3 you like and 3 you don't.

  • good list, but did you forget Contact and K-pax.two excellent Sci-Fi movies in my opinion.

  • @AgnethaFaltsTheQueen Contact was supposed to be at 39 - but I made a mistake, and the list jumps from 40 to 38. K-Pax started well, but the ending didn't make sense to me. I don't think it is a terrible film, but there were too many others I thought were better. Thanks for the comment.

  • It's amazing how many people get Sci-Fi and fantasy mixed up, but this list is sopt on. You know your films.

  • @HoopersWorld Thanks for the encouragement. I suspect that some people like sci-fi beacuse they like science, and some people like it because they like imaginative other-worldly stories, and don't care about the science. There are some films here where the science is rather dubious, but the fantastic elements at least have (implictly or explicitly) natural rather than supernatural explanations.

  • Fantastic list, you got the top 2 spot on. I'm also glad you added Dark City,Planet Of the Apes,Donnie DarkoThe Abyss and best of all Dr. Strangelove those films don't allways appear in best sci-fi list yet they are among the best so you did a great job here. Overall I would order these films alot differentely and there's still some I need to see but yea 2001 and Blade Runner truly are the two best

  • @EnterTheWuTang1 Thanks for that. I always like looking at these lists, especially if they have enough of my favourite films on them. Strangelove gets a mention in four of my other lists, and the others you mention show up quite a few times, too.

  • You forgot Titan AE!!!!

  • @Johnjohns2266 Do you really like it?

  • Ok wtf why not???..... why not harry potter? I

  • @KevinW98 Nothing against Harry Potter, but this is a list of sci-fi movies and Harry Potter isn't sci-fi, it's fantasy. (If you don't believe me look up any reputable movies website and see what genres are used to describe the Harry Potter movies.) The Lord of the Rings, The Sixth Sense and Superman isn't here either, and they are all good movies, but not sci-fi.

  • Where the fuck is THX 1138....

  • @MrPopeye232323 Yeah, 100 films isn't enough to list all the films that have their fans. There a quite a few good films that I left off. Do you think it is the best sci-fi movie ever, or would it just make your top 30?

  • @seaturtlefilms well its not the best cuz the movie has its flaws but the story is perfect and the movie is really good. definitively in my top 10 of Sci-Fi films.... man you should have taken out Galaxy Quest and Mars Attack and put in THX 1138 and "John carpenter" The Thing.... good list Though... oh and you should have added La jetée which is another good film.

  • @MrPopeye232323 Thanks for that. I limited the list to feature length films, so La Jettee (and La Voyage dans la Lune) was excluded. Yes, I probably should have included 'The Thing' simply for its reputation, although opinion is divided on its quality. You will find all three of the films you mention on Mokwella's list. Betwen us we list about 130 films.

  • Moon is the best SciFi movie I know.

  • @ttCrawsaive Moon was a thought-provoking story well told and with a great performance by Rockwell. The music was also terrific. How many of my top 10 have you seen?

  • @seaturtlefilms None. I said Moon is the best one I know, or that I've ever seen ;)

  • @ttCrawsaive I thought that might be what you were referring to. Moon is very good, but I don't think I've heard anyone say that it is better than 2001 or Blade Runner. (People who don't like those probably wouldn't like Moon either).

  • may not agree
