  • he had one line, 'oooooh' , but that was enough to make me crack up :L <3

  • ROTFLMAO!! Mr. Spencer!!

Gosh I used to watch this show when I was very little <3

  • 1:35 Got to be one of the best moments in comedy history =D

  • my mum had a hoover like that

  • The timing of his 'oooh' is spot on. So simple, yet so funny.

  • I love Betty's little dresses & coats etc. Women dressed like ladies back in those days, not like the trampy fashion these days

  • @yokhana I couldn't agree with you more. Back in the 70s, at least they dressed in really decent proper clothes and at least they didn't have to wear anything revealing in order to gain attention, whereas in today's screwed up century even young teenage girls are dressing like sluts and acting like sluts - which they never used to be able to get away with in the past. That's how you know the whole world is getting worse.

  • Betty was such a sweet little darling lady.

  • A lot of the calamities in Some Mothers say less about Frank's accident prone nature than they do about the shoddy nature of basic appliances and household items in 1970s Britain

  • haha it wouldnt be the same without him

  • Nobody don't love the Spencers. My son in law over my dead body! Classic Lines from a brilliant show.

  • Almost as funny as me.

  • Phantom!

  • michael crawford should be knighted..sir michael crawford...

  • totally agree. so funny!

  • How very, very clever and so well done. Thanks for a good laugh.

  • What a class act!

Frank is my rather odd hero ;) :L

  • That Betty bird is hot. I'd like to giver 'er one.

  • She's married to Edward Woodward, the "Equalizer"

  • blimey thats so funni...pmsl

  • Dear oh dear, that was funny!

  • Wasnt Jessica Spencer the woman from Murder she wrote? that would explain a lot.

  • No, the woman in Murder she wrote was Jessica Fletcher.

So i'm afraid it doesn't explain anything.

But i do want to say that this comedy: Some Mothers Do'Ave 'Em, is another great example of the high quality of British humour!

  • and frank went on to play the phantom of the opera

  • How hot was Betty?!

  • Your right. That's how they met.

  • Didn't they meet after frank fell off his horse at some club and betty let him ride on hers with her?i remember seeing an episode like that

  • OOOOOOOOOOOH!!! Frank is Awesome

  • Actually there was an episode that explains how Betty and Frank met. I purchased the 11 episode DVD set of Some Mothers by walking into a Borders book store and giving them the name of the series and the star of the series(MC). I had the DVDs less then 2 weeks later. It's in one of those episodes. Hilarious series and well worth the investment. Love the look on Michaels face after hes rolled down the stairs taking out the entire railing. Classic!!!

  • Every time I watch this, I laugh! I agree with mcurren2004. That's too funny!

  • that was hilarious! i love this show now!

  • great show BBC, i think it's great your putting these comedies online. britain has a very distinctive comedy taste, Faulty towers, Bless this house, One foot in the grave, 'Till death us do part.

And many more, the old comedies are the best.

  • Great stuff. The show never explained exactly how Frank and Betty met. It's a bit like Basil and Sybil Faulty, you can never imagine how they ever got together. Michele Dotrice was gorgeous.

  • Actually, it does explain how they got together.

  • That was toooo funny! mc
